McCain is stumping with Bush. Now stop the "McCain for VP" threads! |
|
If I see that one more time I'm gonna smack someone.

2. From day 1 I could not understand why this was a BRILLIANT tactic on |
|
Kerry's part. To try to include in OUR DEMOCRATIC PARTY TICKET somebody with so little self respect... repugs must have the "goods" on him. For an even minimally self-respecting human being, to campaign with the person who defamed and slimed him during the 2000 campaign, is beyond the pale.

Are we 100% sure that Kerry actually asked him? I may be wrong, but everything I've seen has been so vague, and it all seems to have come from the McCain camp.
It's like walking up next to the prettiest woman at the club, waiting for a break in the music then shouting "NO, I WON'T DANCE WITH YOU...QUIT ASKING" and storming off... it'll look like she asked you, even if she wasn't even aware of your presence.
If McCain is pimping for Bush after all Rove's dirty tricks during the 2000 campaign, I don't see how anyone can admire McCain at all any more. Maybe there's been a payoff, or maybe McCain's been promised the second spot if something happens to Cheney.
And if McCain is willing to say Bush "supports the troops" after all the gutting of the VA programs, he's just a foolish stooge, plain and simple.

7. CBS is still reporting McCain was #1choice |

'Kerry wanted McCain as his VP to form the first unity ticket of modern times and to give him an almost guaranteed win. (A recent CBS News poll showed that Kerry-McCain would have almost surely trounced Bush-Cheney.) So McCain was number one and Edwards was number two. But McCain decided it would not be McCain-esque to jump party lines and stand behind Kerry. So now Edwards is number one.' http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/06/15/politics/main623330.shtml

Once in a while Mccain does good things but schilling for the chimp is just sad. Wonder if a bush mccain ticket is in the future? That would be a tough ticket IMHO
