Why Does Al Qaeda Continue to Help Bush? |
|
It seems that every time something happens that causes Bush to plunge in popularity and approval ratings polls, al Qaeda comes to his rescue, bombing something, flying airplanes into something, or beheading someone.
It seemed so strange to me, because in my opinion Bush would continue to sink, but as soon as al Qaeda steps in they bump his approval ratings up by committing these atrocious acts.
Then it hit me... Supposedly, al Qaeda is a terrorist organization that wants to attack America. I've been told that they hate us for our freedom and all sorts of other things. Well, if you hated America and Americans, and you hated us for our freedom, what would you do? You'd keep Bush in power. No other terrorist plots could wreak as much damage, erode as much freedom, or destroy more Americans than keeping Bush around.
This is a dastardly terrorist plot! We MUST remove Bush in November... or the terrorists have won!

Each group is fighting a rise of secularism in thier respective societies. Each uses th other to make thier cause relevant. Bush need AQ, AQ needs bush.
For further study on the topic of ememy complicity in war, I point you, in all seriousness, to Star Wars Episode 2, the Clone Wars.

8. Al Qaeda doesn't give a shit about US politics |
|
They aren't trying to help Bush. They are trying to isolate the United States in the world, no matter who the president is.

10. They Have Remarkably Coincidental Timing, Though, Huh? |
|
One example... Bush starts to really get dragged through the mud regarding Abu Ghraib. His ratings begin to sink like a stone. It's all over the media. Then, suddenly... Nick Berg gets beheaded. Then, amazingly, Abu Ghraib isn't such a big deal anymore, and everyone is back on board with attacking brown people again.
