1. Actually, he DOES need a permission slip. |

Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution (Hey! Remember the Constitution?) SAYS he does. At least, he needs a permission slip to conduct war on another nation, especially on this scale.
"The Congress shall have the power... To declare war..."
Shame on every coward who voted to give that chickenhawk the authority. Shame.

7. Not any more ~ He was granted that and has taken full advantage |
|
We are fools if we believe the Constitution is anything more than Toilet Paper since the Bush* Cabal has taken power. Don't ever count on it protecting you ever again. Use your own wits and forget the constitution. It is meaningless anymore.

4. In my humble opinion, and in, I'm sure, yours.... |

it disgusts me that he virtually deliberately destabilized the entire region, motivating anyone near the fringe (and some who weren't before), to come after us. I remember before he started the Iraq War, I protested going to anyone who would listen. A couple of fellow students in lawschool asked me to leave America/USA. I politely told them I was born here, lived here all of my life, intended to stay here, and that I regarded dissent as being patriotic. I told them that we would destabilize the entire region - the very thing W's father had warned about. But then Freepers never listen to Progressives.

5. When do we progressives finally make some noise? |
|
A friend of mine in Denmark wrote that he has seen protests in every country escept the US. I am wondering how the NYC convention will turn out, will people protest? Will they be allowed to protest? I fear the world views that 100% of Americans agree with what is going on and it makes me ill.

6. Those law students are a disgrace... |

and don't deserve citizenship in this country. How dare they besmirch the Constitution? They are traitors who want to establish the sort of country that Saddam was running in Iraq.

8. sounds like a typical talking point from that side |

This is the best they got, too. 'Bush will defend America!' Not impressed, and neither hopefully will the American people.
