Poll question: The bottom line: How did you vote in 2000? How will you vote in 2004?
Let's try to get some good inferences from this.

1. Voted for nobody in 2000
I wasn't eligible to vote then.

I would have supported Gore in 2000, and I plan to vote for Kerry in 2004.

I only voted for Gore in 2000 because Nader wasn't on the ballot and because of the Republican Congress. During the 2004 primaries Gore won me over again. But I can't decide whether I'm a Gore fan or not!

4. Didn't vote in 2000
Edited on Sun Jun-20-04 12:51 AM by Mr Bojangles
Too consumed by the drive to get laid (second year in college, and all)

I was pulling for Gore on the inside, though.

Let's just hope my state (Floriduh) doesn't f things up again.

However, things will be different this year...

5. Reluctantly voted Gore in 2000
and will vote Kerry in '04. I didn't think Gore was a real strong candidate in 2000, and don't think he'd be one now either. However, he was, is, and always will be better than bush. Kerry is now the candidate of choice, because bush must go. I think my neighbor's dog is smarter than him.

7. I very enthusiastically voted for Gore in 2000...
I think he's a very smart and good man. I will vote for Kerry. I also think he smart and a decent human being. Tipper is a major mental health advocate and I think that she and Al would have done a lot of good things. I can't believe that we live in a country where the media conducts polls such as, "With whom would you rather attend a barbeque with, Bush or Kerry?" Jesus Christ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10. Voted for Nader, plan to vote for Kerry.
I voted for Nader in 2000 because my home state was solidly Democratic enough that it was safe for me to do so. I knew that my state's electoral votes would go to Gore anyway, and I would never have voted for Nader in a potential swing state.

This time, I'm voting for Kerry not even as a pragmatic move but purely out of principle. Kerry isn't my ideal president and he wasn't my first choice in the Democratic primary. But I loathe Bush so much that, even if I lived in an overwhelmingly Repuke state where it wouldn't matter whether I voted Kerry or Nader, I'd still vote for whoever had the better chance of unseating Bush, for no other reason than to use my vote to express my dislike of Chimpy.

17. Thank you - If 2000 taught us anything
it taught us that YES, one vote really can count. I'm in Texas (see name - duh) and Bush got 59% EVEN THOUGH HE WAS GOVERNOR!!! Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Senate) got 66%. That's right DUers. She got over 200K more GOP votes than *, AND we only had a 50% voter turn out. Even Texas is up for grabs if you ask me.

Push for registration and get out the vote!!!

14. good poll
Edited on Sun Jun-20-04 11:05 AM by RedSock
I usually don't care about polls here, but I like this one.

1988 Dukakis
1992 Clinton
1996 Nader
2000 Nader
2004 Kerry

I'm not too keen on Kerry, and could probably get away with voting Nader (or some other non-major party) since I live in New York, but I want to make Kerry's total number as high as possible.

Now all we need is a fair election.

22. They're representing the 'dirty thirty'
percent that always show up on polls as supportive of chimp. They wouldn't care if they saw chimp molesting 'grandma Millie' with their own two eyes, he still gets their vote. :puke:
