As part of our summer offensive, I propose that we all show up at every Kerry event wearing flip-flops. We thereby make a mockery of the charge and show our allegiance to the candidate, like they did in Spartacus when the Romans asked Spartacus to step forward to save the lives of his followers, and after he does, each of his followers steps forward and claims to be Spartacus as well, totally frustrating the enemy (Okay, maybe the scene was from Braveheart...or maybe Hogan's Heroes, but you get the idea: Be proud. Be defiant. I am a flip flopper!)

You can't be in the senate that long and not flip-flop. It shows he is able to change with the times. As times change, votes should change.

4. No. Because it isn't true. |
|
Also, it's allowing the Republicans to choose the terminology and we must NEVER allow that.
Kerry makes rational decisions based on the most current available evidence. Bush never applies reason or truth or even evidence to anything. Tax cuts were good because we had a surplus, and then tax cuts were good because we have a deficit. War in Iraq is good no matter what.
NEVER accept the slur terminology. It immediately puts us on the defensive. Rephrase. Attack. Watch 'em scatter.

5. What does Kerry wear when he goes to the beach nowadays? |
|
I mean, the RW propaganda has put him in a position where he cannot realistically go from the car to the water wearing the same footwear that the rest of us wear without thinking.
It's like Bush. He can't be seen with Charlie McCarthy on his lap or swatting flies with a copy of _The Prince_.

6. Does this change your mind? |

I can see the idea is getting less than a tepid response. Perhaps this will fire up the masses...from National Jeweler:
JUNE 16, 2004 - -- While jewel-encrusted sandals have walked the red carpet for years, such glamour had not been made widely available to the public. Until now.
Brazilian jeweler H.Stern has teamed up with compatriot Alpargatas, the maker of flip-flops popular in that South American country, to create the new Havaianas flip-flop, whose rubber sole hits the pavement adorned with 18-karat yellow or flesh-toned gold and diamonds.
Three different styles take their inspiration from nature and Native South American tribes. On the left foot of each Havaianas is a tiny golden frog, which is both a symbol of prestige and a good luck charm among the tribes of Brazil.
The flip-flops range in extravagance from black rubber with 1,636 yellow gold "feathers" and 414 diamonds for $17,000, to white rubber with gold mesh and feathers for $3,200, to brown rubber with delicate gold chain and feathers for $2,100.
