MSNBC on-line poll finds 72% of respondents plan to see Fahrenheit 9-11! |
|
Carlyle Group better make the "transition" quickly and shut this mother down in the swing states! This film is going to be HUGE - the more the Repukes attack/and try to stop it - the bigger it gets! Can anyone say "The Passion"? Eisner is a punk - AND an idiot - even as a capitalist! http://msnbc.msn.com/id/5264874/

|
Nobody that did is going to vote for George Bush for president - period. This film is incredibly damning for Bushler (and your reasoning as far as Bushler's delay in the classroom baffles me).

17. Michael Moore didn't make George Bush just sit in that classroom. |
|
Michael Moore didn't have the Bin Laden family whisked away out of the country. Michael Moore didn't instruct FBI & others to lay off investigating the Bin Laden connections to terror. Michael Moore didn't ignore the Clinton Admin's warnings about Bin Laden. Michael Moore didn't ignore all the terror warnings the summer of 2001 - and go on vacation. Michael Moore didn't force the U.N. to pull out weapons inspectors so that he could start a pointless, illegal war. Michael Moore didn't authorize the use of terror - a war crime that violated international law, treaties and the U.S. Constitution, Michael Moore didn't steal the last presidential election - these are all things that GEORGE W. BUSH did - and Michael Moore's liking or disliking him doesn't change these facts one iota! Most people will understand these things - which is precisely why the corporate right wing is shitting bricks over this film's release!

11. The two choices are not |
|
1) Sit there for seven minutes while a major drama is unfolding around you that - oh, by the way - you have been elected to be responsible for, or 2) Run around like a chicken without a head.
And you damn well know those aren't the only choices, and you must know, unless you are a complete fool, that both of these actions are bizarre and wrong given the circumstances. You must know. Now, I'm not a LIHOP person either, but I did get to see a bunch of friends, colleagues and neighbors die on September 11, and I think Bush's response was irresponsible at best, criminally negligent at worst, and unsatisfactory to anyone who is paying attention. The man is an imbecile, a coward, and a complete incompetent, and indirectly contributed to 9/11 through his administrations foibles and incompetence. The seven minutes is just a synecdoche for his utter inability to deal with the situation, before, during, or after.

and fucking responded in a thinking manner after being told that the United States was under attack instead of sitting there like a lump of shit the way he did?

15. The repugs are pooping their pants over this, make no mistake. |
|
As evidenced by their attempt to get the movie pulled from theatres. And by persons accusing Moore of lying without citing any examples.
But I'm sure you already know how the right wing works.

20. Since when does the Commander in Chief TAKE orders? |
|
Who has the power to ORDER the President of the United States to DO anything? If Bush really was waiting around for orders, then we know who really is not in charge of our country.

23. I think Bush DID do what he was told... |
|
just sit there and let it happen. There just doesn't seem to be any other logical answer. ANY real leader would got up off his butt to see what needed to be done, especially since this was the 2nd hit on the WTC. As Kristin Breitweiser said, if he had moved and called a national emergency, her husband in the 2nd tower just might have had a chance to get out of the building rather than being told by security to go back to their desks. God, the man is an embarrassment.

Now if I can just find a place to see it. We live in Los Angeles and I can't find a theater within 25 miles of my house. I checked movies.com and fandango.com last night. I am so disappointed! Please let me know if you hear of any changes.
HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN!!!!

18. 72% of those who clicked the link "Fahrenheit 9/11 puts it all together" |
|
so I think you can't really draw any conclusions other than a large number of the people who want to read a glowing review of the movie also want to see it.

I live in L.A. too and was having the same problem. I want to see it in the valley but fandango wouldn't let me order the ticket in advance. I called the theatre today (north hollywood) and they said that the movie will be posted tomorrow and the tickets can be ordered in advance (with a credit card on fandango). I was SO relieved. The guy at the theatre was really nice and gave me the times. I'll be there with friends at 8pm on Friday night. Good luck!
