How long before the beheadings don't matter anymore? |
|
Seriously, the American public quickly grew immune to civilian casualties in Iraq, then American casualties (I distinctly recall an R-Senate member gloating about how May deaths were half those of April... like that is somehow acceptable), then the American public seems to be accepting fucking TORTURE... how long before the beheadings are looked at as commonplace, acceptable losses in this GREAT AND WONDEROUS war?
I hate torture, I hate troops dying, I hate beheadings due to out policy. Man, I must really hate America.

1. Actually, IMHO, I don't think the public has blown those issues off. |
|
When you say the "public seems to be accepting" these things, how are you gauging this sentiment? I tend to believe that the steady stream of bad news is working at a deep level to sour us on this whole awful business.

I am saying that people seem to be finding justification for torture, e.g. "we are at war!" like that is an excuse. Civilian causalties are hardly discussed, even on this board, and US troop casualties pass by as a blurp on the news.

4. There are only 3 groups finding justification for these atrocities: |
|
1. Bushco 2. Sheeple 3. Big Media
The rest of your fellow citizens--including some fundies--have had it with the horror and hypocrisy.

3. It does not matter now. Bu$h Inc.`s money machine is all that matters. |
|
But they will still use the beheadings to keep their flock of followers aghast at these acts. And ignore the war crime that we started. Only for reasons of making Bu$h and his ilk more $$$$. Peace Wildman Al Gore is My President

And the Busheviks are MUCH BETTER Marketers to emulate Arabic Tyranny when trying to impose their own "Managed Democracy".

6. They'll use it as justification |

for their shitty war. Never mind that these people would still be alive if Bush hadn't insisted on invading Iraq on false pretenses.

I thought so.
