Clinton Interview Helps CBS Blow Past Weekly Competition
LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Around the CBS lot this week, Jerry Bruckheimer has some powerful competition for his place as the network's most powerful rainmaker. Although Bruckheimer placed his usual slew of offerings atop the ratings list, it was an interview with Bill Clinton that paced the network for the week ending Sunday, June 20.

Overall, CBS claimed the weekly crown with a 5.8 rating/11 share, averaging 8.64 million viewers per night in primetime. NBC took second with a 4.9/9 and an average of 7.2 million viewers. ABC followed with a 4.4/8 and 6.42 million, leaving FOX's summer schedule in fourth with a 3.1/6 and 4.67 million. On the netlet side, UPN had a 1.7/3 and 2.52 million viewers, better than the 1.6/3 and 2.32 million for The WB.

Among adults 18-49, NBC moved up to first with a 2.6 rating. ABC and CBS tied in the key demographic with a 2.4 rating and FOX wasn't too far off with a 2.0 rating. The WB and UPN posted matching 1.0 ratings.
