I know the VP is not formally announced til the convention, but in the.... |
|
past has there been hints so broad that we knew who it was before it was announced. I think we are all going to die of curiosity if we have to wait til the convention. :)

1. You didn't hear? Kerry and Edwards had a special moment alone today. |

4. the vp will be announced about a week or 2 before the convention |
|
it use to be that the vp was announced right at the convention, but in about the past couple of decades it changed and the vp was announced shortly before the convention. they will also need time to make signs and things with the vp name and to schedule things so people who give a speech promoting the vp candidate can prepare. the convention is mostly now a formality and to make official things we already know and a way to promote the presidential candidate and party.

I think I was hearing right tonight that Kerry had asked for Gephardt and Edward's tax returns. I assume that may mean something. Or maybe not.
