Why is White House waiting so long to come out with torture documents??
How long ago was the torture at Abu Graib reported? So today, the WH comes out with new documents to show it was not as bad as people said it was and they really did not approve of such tactics... Why so long?

1. It took this long to...
create them, I mean, find them. Yeah, that's the ticket, find'em.

3. Agree completely. Remember Bush*'s National Guard records?
And Cheney's papers that he handed out on the "energy commission" (thousands of papers including pizza orders but nothing substantial)... it is a pattern with them. But maybe, just maybe, this pattern has reached a max point for everybody.

5. That was my thought exactly.
BTW, my husband has been very disturbed all evening by something he saw on Anderson Cooper. He saw some military guys shoot a 12 year old boy in the back. All he said was it was in the desert, he had a bottle of water and was looking for his cows that were lost. Did anybody else see that? It was bad he said. He is super depressed after seeing it.

Anybody? Was it in Iraq? Afghanistan?

10. I saw it...It was in Afghanistan. Very sad long story.
It was a terrible accident. The soldiers felt awful! The one who shot him has to live with the guilt for the rest of his life. He'll never be the same! Nor will the poor boy and his grieving family. He'll be in the hospital for another month. I hate the people who are responsible for all this pain, human suffering and loss of life.
War is hell!

11. My husband said he will never forget the kids eyes.
He said you could tell the child was really scared. He said it was the most disturbing image he has seen since this terrible war has started.

My husband made it sound like it wasn't an accident. He said they fired warning shots in the air and the kid started running so they shot him. They thought he had something in his bag and it was just a water bag. I hope it was an accident. I really hope it was.

6. The report is due out on July 26th.....
I'm hoping the Democrats on the Commission do not submit to the Repubs to window dress it for Bush and Cheney...

8. To avoid the incriminating evidence?
To give them time to doctor the evidence?

To hope it would all go away?

Because they are all up to their necks in it and guilty of WAR CRIMES?

There are sooooo many reasons.

9. Is there a link to the actual documents on the web?
Also, has anyone asked if this is all the documents or just the stuff that looks good for the administration?
