Tell me about the beheading scene in F 9/11 if you've been. |
|
Is it really graphic?
Other violent scenes--how graphic are they?
I'm definitely going, but I want to be prepared for the graphic stuff. How bad?

1. I'm interested in that, too. |

Any info I have beforehand would be very helpful.

If Michael was fighing to have the movie put back to pg-13, at least I hope it isn't bad.

3. I would think considering when the film was in the can |
|
that it's more likely to be a Saudi beheading than an al Qaeda one. The Saudis have been about that business much longer. They even showed one (public execution beheading) on the news once, albeit from quite a distance.

6. Any beheading scene... |
|
whether it is American or Saudi will do me in for sure. I just can't stomach that.
I made the mistake of watching the Nick Berg video. If MM shows any beheading footage, I would prefer to know it ahead of time so I don't freak me out.

10. It was a couple of hundred yards away on the news clip |

in a big crowd. If they hadn't said what was going on I wouldn't have known. No gore...too far away, thank goodness. I saw the Berg tape too, and I can safely say curiosity won't get this cat again! Welcome to DU, by the way! :hi:

I just need to prepare myself if I'm going to see some graphic violence.
Also, I have some friends that I'd like to encourage to go but I want to know ahead of time about the violence shown in the film. One actually suffers from PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and I didn't want this film to freak her out completely.
The info. you provided is helpful. Thanks.

14. Lex, mind you...I have no way of knowing what's in the film! |
|
Don't risk it based on speculation on my part. Please make sure first, okay? I'm beggin' ya! :)

18. It's okay. Not going to go right away. |
|
I'm just getting everyone confused now. Sorry.
Hopefully, someone at some point can describe how graphic the beheading and other violence really is in the film.
(BTW, on Larry King tonight, Ron Reagan said he tried to see the film today and the theater was sold out all afternoon and all night!)

4. You sure there is a beheading scene? |
|
If I remember correctly, the Berg beheading took place after the movie premiered at Cannes. Did he add it later?

8. Roger Ebert says so in his Chicago Sun-Times review. |

Ebert says, "The R rating may stand; there is a real beheading in the film, and only fictional beheadings get the PG-13." http://www.suntimes.com/output/eb-feature/cst-ftr-moore18.html

There are some incredibly graphic scenes in there, but they only flash on for a split second.
