Question for someone reading the Clinton Book... |
|
A coworker of mine from Argentina claims that (on page 920), Clinton refers to Argentina as being in Africa. Any truth to this or is he full of it as usual?

about Al campaigning in LA, Bush running compassionate conservativism, Hillary and Bill in the finger lakes with her campaign, and then bill off to Nigeria to talk about AIDS. No mention of Argentina at all. (However, Argentina is discussed on p. 908, and several other places -- see index.)
Any other questions?

Clinton was talking about a trip to Africa (particularly Nigeria) and said he hoped to help the struggling Argentian economy while there. Frankly, I don't buy it (because I (A) can't believe Clinton would make the mistake and (B) really can't believe his editors wouldn't catch it) but thought I'd check since I don't have a copy, at least not yet.

" flew to Nigeria to see Pres. Obasabjo. I wanted to support his efforts to curb AIDS before Nigeria's infection rates reached the levels of southern African nations, and to highlight the recent passage of the African trade bill, which I hoped would help Nigeria's struggling economy........ From Nigeria I flew to Arusha Tanzania to the Burundi Peace talks, which Nelson Mandela had been chairing............

for the quick debunking. It's worse than just being on the internet though, he says it's in the Argentinian newspapers.
