I've been flamed for saying this before and I don't expect this time to be any different. Before you get all bent out of shape read the other end of this link:

2. I told Al Gore to keep it up!! This is what a real patriot does.
Like a modern day Thomas Paine, Gore tells it like it is.
Gore's speech was another great one

Democracy Itself is in Grave Danger

3. Whatever you may think of Gore, he's
still five hundred thousand times better and smarter than that clueless, worthless, hopeless, dumb-as-rocks, drunken frat boy thief who blatantly and deliberately stole the presidency that we have in the WH now. And every word of that speech he gave calling for the resignation of Rice, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, etc., and calling them a disgrace to America, was absolutely correct and he was courageous enough to say it.

Did notice that he cites the Wash Times and Fox News and can't spell the word "stationery"

6. Because a blogger says something negative
Gore should shut up. Alright, you just believe in that.

Just wondering if Michael Moore or Al Franken is next on your list?

Gore needs to keep on keeping on! Fuck those people who tell him to shut up and give him shit. He was right before the war and he's been right about everything since. Every time they try to paint him as crazy but every single time he's been absolutely correct. Al Gore is the man and we should have his back. Your telling him to shut up is a symptom of the old democratic party and its wimpy milk toast shit. Fuck that Alan Colmes bullshit! Rage on Al!! :toast:

14. No.
I read the posts and no, no, no. Rock on, Al.

Al won the popular vote in 2000 (and I so love how it pisses RWers off when you remind them). He is intelligent, passionate, courageous, and, above all, correct in the facts in his speeches. If people feel that a passionate delivery of a patriotic speech is "embarrassing," to quote one of the Perry posters, well, they probably aren't much fun in the bedroom either.

There are moles on Perry's website. There are moles on lots of websites, including this one.

16. Has it occurred to you that in the lead up to the war...
inspectors were given unimpeded access, they were finding NOTHING, and the lies about uranium from Niger, drones, etc., were unraveling?

We didn't go to war when we did b/c Iraq was a threat, we went b/c it was rapidly becoming clear that they weren't.

Perhaps Gore understands that, do you?

Yes, new info can provide a fresh perspective.

28. what's the 'other end of this link" at that blog link?
from the commondreams link posted above ...

and, Al Gore said:

~snip~

"What would Thomas Jefferson think of the curious and discredited argument from our Justice Department that the president may authorize what plainly amounts to the torture of prisoners - and that any law or treaty, which attempts to constrain his treatment of prisoners in time of war is itself a violation of the constitution our founders put together.

What would Benjamin Franklin think of President Bush's assertion that he has the inherent power - even without a declaration of war by the Congress - to launch an invasion of any nation on Earth, at any time he chooses, for any reason he wishes, even if that nation poses no imminent threat to the United States.

How long would it take James Madison to dispose of our current President's recent claim, in Department of Justice legal opinions, that he is no longer subject to the rule of law so long as he is acting in his role as Commander in Chief.

I think it is safe to say that our founders would be genuinely concerned about these recent developments in American democracy and that they would feel that we are now facing a clear and present danger that has the potential to threaten the future of the American experiment.

~snip~

Al Gore, please speak out more often ......

Treason and Corruption are rampant as in no other time in our History; Fascism is creeping into our lives ...

Thank Goodness, he's talking the Founding Principles!

34. Further info about Perry
He's a Contributing Editor to Watchblog, on their Republicans & Conservatives list.

So again, why should we care what he says? I don't hear him calling for Cheney, DeLay, or any Republicans to shut up.

30. I say go Al!
Al Gore is right on target with his criticisms of the Bush Administration. The right wing has attempted to trash him, without talking about the substance of his criticisms. This particular example has quotes from him in in the past. These quotes are irrelavant because talking about the potential threat of Saddam and possible WMDs is much different than actually committing our fighting forces to invade.
