I live in Freeper Hell
Not only is no one going to F9/11, most don't even know about it. Sure, they've heard about Michael Moore, but don't give a shit.

There is one movie screen in this town, and I guarantee you, it will NEVER show F9/11.

I just want to express my appreciation for all that have shared their experiences with what I am sure is one of the all time "great" movies.

I'm still waiting for my sister and brother in Seattle to email me their responses to the movie.

Dammmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Living in ShitVille can be hard sometimes, but I thank the stars and the comets shooting between them for DU'ers sharing their impressions.

That's all! Carry on! :)

2. Take a day trip?
I can't imagine the nearest theater being more than an hour away from you? Make a day of it and take a nice little trip to see F911! You won't regret it!

3. The nearest
is 90 minutes away, and I swore I would never venture again into Texas. The other way is 180 miles. That's a long day trip! I just may talk myself into it, though.

5. 180 Miles isn't THAT bad
Half day at the most. I mean, even if you poke along at 60MPH you'll still get there in 3 hours.

get to Mexico. I feel the same way. Better to drive into the Grand Canyon than cross the border into Texas.

And before all you Lone Starer's start spaming me, I've been to Texas. I love Molly Ivins and can't understand why she'd want to waste her life among the neanderthals.

Okay, maybe that's a bit unfair. There are intelligent, decent people in Texas as there are everywhere. So the question is, "How did you let DeLay and BushCo get that much power?" Were too many of you snoozing while Rome burned?

4. Carpool with others
That's what is happening in Newton County, AR. Folks who could go to Fayetteville today carpooled to drive the 90 miles (one way) to the theatre. And don't give up hope! If the film is as phenomenal as they say, more screens will show it-'cause even freepers like money!

6. Thanks for the encouragement!
I have tears in my eyes just reading the reviews and responses to the movie. I can't imagine what the actual experience is. I just hope everyone with access to it goes to see it. Well, my other hope is that DVD is released day after tomorrow!

7. I doubt if I will get to see it before it comes out in DVD.
But at least I hope we can see it then even if it's way after the fact.

It's worth the drive, pal. Seriously. Hell, I'll buy you lunch at Twister's if you make the trip. You won't be sorry.

Las Cruces! PSHAW! hhhhrrruuuummmmppphhh!

If they aren't showing it, then there is something wrong in the universe.

I'm way up over there, in the middle of nowhere!

Maybe I could see it in Las Vegas, NM? I haven't checked to see if they are showing it there, but it's a good college town!

edited to add: I don't know what Twisters is, but I'll be there! mmmm. Must get a calendar!

I almost went to Alb for a seminar this week, but couldn't make it. Next time, fer sure!

18. Albuquerque is the place to be
We have the University here, so it's actually quite liberal and laid-back. A nice weekend getaway for you, at the least.

And the world-famous Twister's "Disaster" burrito is nothing less than the Food of the Gods. Imagine chicken, beans, carne adovada, or beef with green chile packed into a burrito the size of your arm, buried under curly fries, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese, and smothered in a heapin' helpin' of your choice of red or green. It is truly a meal fit for a King.

was an alien. YOU Got a PROBLEM with that??????????

:)

New Mexico is still a great state, but holding on by a thread. Most of the state is rural dem, but the big money places are being, or have been taken over by Texans and Californians who moved before they realized their savior Gov was going to be installed in a fucking circus.

I digress.

whoops.

21. UNCLE!.............ROFL
I give up! :D

But I was serious, my brother really was born in Roz...we lived there for 2 years. I have moom pitchers (8 mm film) of a tornado that came through that year and I still remember looking west at El Capitan and a bigger mountain my dad called 'old baldy'. I attended 3rd grade there.
That would be...in 1949. To quote Dick Cavett, I kid you not. ;-)

23. The bigger mountain you saw was Capitan
It's actually lower elevation, but closer. The smaller looking ones, more to the direct west, with more snow on them (because of an altitude of 12,000 ft) were, in the old days known as Sierra Blanca. Now Ski Apache.

And now you know! Has your brother donated his organs on that unfortunate day? I'm sure some folks would want to have a look see!

12. How could you be living in "Freeper hell?"
That would have to be Ted Kennedy's bathroom.

Don't worry. The movie will change enough minds to make all America freeper hell.
