my puke brother promised not to send anymore spam. It's just too much work to post this and have DU'rs throw beer cans at it, but he needs another lesson any thoughts?( Last time it was an email copied from an Ann thrax column).
Every year an independent tax watchdog group analyzes the average tax burden on Americans, and then calculates the "Tax Freedom Day". This is the day after which the money you earn goes to you, not the government. This year, tax freedom day was April 11th. That's the earliest it has been since 1991. It's latest day ever was May 2nd, which occurred in 2000. Notice anything special about those dates? John Kerry gave a speech in which he claimed Americans are actually paying more taxes under Bush, despite the tax cuts. He gave no explanation and provided no data for this claim. Another interesting fact; Both George Bush and John Kerry are wealthy men. Bush owns only one home, his ranch in Texas. Kerry owns 4 mansions, all worth several million dollars. (His ski resort home in Idaho is an old barn brought over from Europe in pieces. Not your average A-frame). Bush paid $250,000 in taxes this year. Kerry paid $90,000. Does that sound right? The man who wants to raise your taxes obviously has figured out a way to avoid paying his own. Pass this on. Less than five months until the election.

5. Snopes does have something about it |

Remember, Kerry's income derives mostly from his senate salary and perhaps some investments. They have a prenup agreement. He had to mortgage one of his homes to stay afloat in the primaries.
I'd like to know where Dubya's money comes from. That's quite a hefty tax payment.

7. Tax Freedom day shows that the middle class pays to much tax |
|
The burden must be shifted back to the upper classes who can afford to pay it - and also have the most to lose if the country goes belly-up.
The part about Bush's tax bill being higher than Kerry's is meaningless. Kerry and his wife probably file separately.

Let's assume bush's ranch is worth $1.0 million and each of Kerry's mansions are also each worth $1.0 million. By this logic, Kerry's income should be four times that of Bush.
This is stupid logic, because mansions don't produce income! Working ranches do... or should, otherwise they are just tax shelters.
By this measure alone, Bush would always have more income then Kerry.
The question is really what income producing assets does each have....but that would be too logical.
