damn, monica is slamming bill hard |
|
http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/206429p-178125c.htmlMonica Lewinsky broke her silence and bared her claws yesterday, branding ex-lover Bill Clinton a creep who "destroyed" her and made her feel like "an insignificant piece of dirt."
"He says he was proud of the way that he defended the presidency - at my expense. In the process, he destroyed me," she said.
In her most candid remarks since the scandal that rocked the country, Lewinsky portrayed Clinton as a money-grubbing cad incapable of telling the truth. At various points in the two interviews she referred to him as "the creep," a "liar," a "revisionist of history" and "a wax figure - without humanity."
She seemed unable to reconcile the Bill Clinton of today with the "tender" man who called her "dear" and "baby" and gave her gifts like Walt Whitman's "Leaves of Grass."
"That's not how it was," she said. "This was a mutual relationship, mutual on all levels, right from the way it started and all the way through." What's more, she claims she can prove it with tapes of messages Clinton left on her telephone answering machine and gifts he gave her, all of which she kept. "If I was just something he used 'because he could,' why call me?" she said. "Why fake all the emotions and the looks and the tenderness?"
Clinton doesn't seem to appreciate the fact that she refused to wear a wire and get him on tape, even though she was threatened with prison, she said.this is not good, not good at all... may be clinton should have talked to her first before writing his book. i hope media doesn't jump all over this.

almost 30 years old. In a way I do feel empathy for her, but she should have been able to move on from these kinds of emotions. I think it is more important that he show concern for the feelings of his wife and daughter. The fact that Monica Lewinsky doesn't get that says a lot about her. She needs to grow up.

If the relationship was mutual and genuine, WHY DID SHE KEEP THE DRESS? Why did she brag to others about it? Why didn't she learn anything from her previous affairs with older married men?
Spare me the injured innocence routine. She's not only refusing to take her share of the blame, she's trying to elevate the affair to a level above "just sex." Invest some of the $100K you got from this interview in sex therapy and start growing up, you hypocrite!

this run in I'm not sure what I think. I always thought that her memory was a little too good. Does anyone else remember their sex life in such vivid point by point detail? I don't and I still have one hell of a memory. Saving the dress was odd to say the least. I am aware that she had legal bills but she did make a good bit of money. She had no qualms about writing her own book, nor has she had any qualms about speaking her mind about the events that transpired between them. She had decided to make a play for him prior to meeting him. Actions and consequences. A more highly evolved person might say I disagree with his assessment this is how I saw things end of story. You lose your point with name calling.

I have always had unresolved questions about her. I think on some unconscious level she may have been or thought she was a woman scorned and was torn between cooperating and not cooperating with the Starr team.. Maybe a teensy weensy bit of her was not all that unhappy with seeing him twisting in the wind a bit. You will have to admit the deposition that she gave on their sex life included minute details that were probably not necessary to satisfy her obligations. Just my 2 cents.

She sounds freakin' delusional, like she wanted to see their tawdry little sex romp as some sort of epic romantic tragedy. Did she really think that giving Bill a blowjob meant that she was his destined true love? Has she read too many romance novels or what?
I sympathize with her to some degree, her life DID get screwed up. Too bad she isn't doing something useful in her life like counselling young women on the dangers of extra-marital affairs and asymmetrical power relationships.
I guess she'd rather cling to victimhood and play "the woman scorned". How pathetic.

think well enough of herself. On one hand she seems to have a pattern of (actively) pursuing affairs with married men, which isn't healthy mentally and indicates a certain lack of self-esteem. But then she demands (and gets the British media) to pay her $100K and gives this stupid interview and complains how Bill didn't "tell the truth" about what "really" happened. I got a news flash for you Monica-he did tell the truth when he said that he did it because he could. This is the part where I think she thinks way too highly of herself. And I think she's still disappointed that he didn't end up resigning or thrown out of office over this-over her. Just think how much more money and how many more minutes she could have gotten out of that claim to infamy! She needs to grow up, get a life, and stop whining to the media about how her life was ruined. Did she ever stop to think about how many lives she ruined with her actions? Of course not, a 'ho usually doesn't.

****QUOTE*****this is not good, not good at all... may be clinton should have talked to her first before writing his book. i hope media doesn't jump all over this.******UNQUOTE*****
Regarding CLINTON and his bimbo problems, I continue to be the Hamstrung Democrat, assigning his own blame to him personally while defending him to the end. The ending of "Primary Colors" said it all for me regarding him: we got you through this, NOW DON'T BREAK OUR HEARTS. He did break our hearts because he couldn't deliver a large part of our agenda for us. Yes, I know about the danged dastardly wingnuts tying him up in knots.
As for her, she was a SELFISH LITTLE TWIT. I had no idea that she had thought her life was "destroyed" before this. She seemed to be having a blast at the Oscars and with her new Hollywood pals and whatever. For her to claim that somebody else, not HER AT ALL, had any role in "destroying" her life is just-----sputter, sputter-----REPUBLICAN!
So, for her to be claiming this just UNMASKS her petty selfishness. So, media, JUMP ALL OVER THIS AT WILL!

71. Let's see, Paula Jones noted in her sworn deposition that she met.... |
|
...Clinton one afternoon in a Little Rock hotel room while he was governor of Arkansas. According to Conason and Lyons in "The Hunting of a President", Clinton was completely booked up in the governor's mansion during the time in question and had witnesses to prove it.
Paula Jones was a bimbo, alright...just not Clinton's bimbo.
And what about Jennifer Flowers? She stated in sworn testimony that she had met Clinton several times in this one particular hotel in Little Rock. The problem with her story, according to authors of the above named book, is that the hotel had not yet been built during the period of time that Flowers stated she was meeting Clinton.
Doesn't look like Flowers was Clinton's bimbo either.
And then ther is Ms Wiley, a woman so deperate for cash that she would have done or said anything to get it. And she did.
Even Starr wouldn't pursue Wiley's story.

you got your "Presidential kneepads" (your ultimate dream) and you got to host "Mr. Personality". :wow: Consider yourself lucky and crawl back under that rock that you crawled out from under in the first place.

for Monica Schmonika and her big, big mouth.
When she wasn't opening wide for Bill, she was opening wide to blab to everyone she knew (and didn't know - Linda Tripp) about how she opened wide for Bill. And now her big ugly mouth is stuck in full yap mode.
Grow up, Lewinsky and take some responsibility for your stupid actions for a change.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

58. She is mostly right, albeit on a superficial level... (this'll floor you) |
|
Don't get me wrong, she is a skanky little trollop who knew full well what she was getting into (I'll explain).
And probably a big liar too, why didn't she mention the threat of prison AT THE TIME in 1998 when it all unraveled out? (but if she is telling the truth :eyes: then maybe she wouldn't have wanted to talk with Mr. Clinton? Did she even know the book had been written? I didn't know until I saw it on the bookshelves the other day.)
She is also stupid enough to have believed she could get somewhere (on a non-sexual level) by dealing with people in high authority by using (sexual) favors. She doesn't get it that the big-wigs don't care about the people they abuse. They care only for themselves and power. Hillary's someday going to be in for a rude awakening and I genuinely feel sorry for her. If Clinton wants to boink women, that's fine. Unless he's married, in which case he should keep the zipper up and keep his hormones in check, what the hell is wrong with that concept? (He's in power and suffers from the same conditions any celebrity would have: Excessive Ego Syndrome. And lore and stereotypes claim that women dig men with power and money. Again, Monica's a phony for saying she's all sweet and innocent. That's a load of steaming cattle cack.)
Clinton is not the problem. Human nature is. And as we're all human, we're all going to make a powerplay-related mistake at one time or another. It likely won't involve sex, but the pattern is the same: Favors or kissing-up for visibility and good marks and then getting betrayed in the end.
And if Monica has the proof, she'd better be prepared to use it. No card is worth the prize until it is played.
Had Clinton's book come out in September, I'd have been very worried for Kerry. It'd be October 2002 all over again, with the spoken words of a loser causing people to vote for the other party as a knee-jerk reaction.

72. "Spoken words of a loser"??? WTF are you talking about?... |

Clinton won the presidency against all odds, not once, but twice. He is the president that presided over the best economic period of time the world has ever known, unemployment was down to 3.9%, we weren't involved in very many conflicts, the budget was balanced, there was a huge budget surplus, and we were well-respected in the international community.
Compared to the unelected FratBoy, FratBoy's father, and Reagan, Clinton looks pretty damn good. Too bad some people are too short-sighted to see that.
Oh, and one more thing...the news that Clinton was writing a book was pretty well-known over the last year or so. His advance of $12 million was a record amount of money.

This is all on him. I really don't know how you can say " I slept with her because I could," and expect that to sound positive. He's got a lot of work ahead.
On Edit: You know, on second thought, she's hardly innocent. Adultery is a two-person sin, and Monica didn't seem to upset when she was geting paid off her SNL publicity. I feel for her, but she's hardly guiltless.

65. Oh, brother. You should do a little homework before you drop... |
|
...crap like this on the DU boards.
First off, Lewinsky went after married men. That was her thing. Additionally, she was 24 years old when she was in the White House as an intern. She was old enough to vote, old enough to drink, and old enough to do whatever she wanted to do. And she did.
Second, I've always been VERY suspicious of the relationship between her and Linda Tripp. I've always suspected that Linda Tripp was tied in with the Arkansas Project in some way. The Arkansas Project was the organization funded by Richard Mellon Scaife that was out to get Clinton any way they could. I also suspect that Lewinsky was part of that overall plot. Why else would any rational person save that dress and all of the other things she kept?
And as far as Lewinsky being "destroyed", she seems to have done pretty well from a financial point of view.
Clinton doesn't owe Lewinsky anything, much less ANY discussion prior to Clinton writing his book. LOL!! That's a real knee-slapper.

Fuck Lewinsky. When you mess with a married man, you get treated like dirt. Period.
