I'm charmed to death by this incisive analysis of the history and prospects of the European Union. (Including many easy to understand illustrations. http://www.christianforums.com/t710405)
It's so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day nastiness of politics that we forget that at heart politics is all about people... crazy people. The poster is quite concerned with the EU's embrace of the Greek mythological figure Europa as a continental symbol:...Even worse than the tower of Babel is the fact that they have chosen another symbol to identify Europe, an image of a woman sitting on a beast - symbolic of both spiritual and political power! There are two parliament buildings for Europe, one in Strasbourg in France, and the other in Brussels in Belgium - both contain murals depicting this woman. And outside the Council of Europe Building in Brussels is a crude sculpture of this evil, scarlet woman, riding the evil beast. Is she the woman referred to in Revelation 17?... The woman is known from Greek mythology as 'Europa' and literally she has been raped by the beast. Is that how the politicians see Europe? Here's a representative picture of the beast in question:
Is Europa riding Zeus in the guise of a bull, or is she riding the beast from Revelations 17? Let's see...
Revelation 17:3 There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. 4The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. 5This title was written on her forehead: MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Sure, the EU beast seems to be missing about six heads and eight horns, but why get hung up on the small stuff? Rather than getting into a whole "thing" about who has how many heads we should focus on the undeniable fact that it's a "beast" and that the woman riding it, whether actually the Mother of Prostitutes and Abominations of the Earth or not, does appear to be out and about in a nightgown... and I think that's pretty suspicious. On balance I think the poster makes a compelling argument that European Union = Satanic. I give this post four spinning exorcist heads out of a possible five.

3. The Christian forum poster seemed to think that's real |

(Unfortunately it's a gag not a real stamp) There may be a pun in the slogan there. A reply said that part of the reason the EU changed from ECU to EU is that saying ECU in German apparently sounds like you're saying "the cow."
