But Twain lived in the 19th Century. In the 21st Century, there are lies, damn lies, and Michael Moore "documentaries."

Like Twain, Moore wants to be the great social commentator of our era. But, "Fahrenheit 9-11" (F911), his latest propaganda film, shows why he will forever remain in "wanna-be" status.

It’s typical Moore: lies, half-truths, far-left wackos and kooks as experts, snarky cheap shots, and just plain nonsense.

F911 starts out by recounting the tired liberal-left canard about George W. Bush "stealing" the 2000 Presidential Election. Gee, we haven’t heard that one before. And for those who actually read the paper and peruse bookstores, there’s little else new in this waste of celluloid.

Moore shows endless shots of Bush and administration officials being made up for TV appearances, montages of Bush golfing and on vacation, a shot of Bush with his dog – all accompanied by the sarcastic vocal commentary of Michael Moore. (You didn’t expect the self-important, schlubby Moore to spare us and stay off-screen, did you?)

In Moore’s world, liberal politicians never get made up or hair coiffed for TV appearances. In Moore’s world, Bill Clinton never golfed, never vacationed for months on Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard,

The best part of her article is that she says that the people (Dems) she sat near at F9/11 stunk! And that it is cool to be ultra left and stink?!

was the scene with the Secret Service guard around the embassy. She points out that the secret service guard ALL the embassies there.

that's the only thing, she can come up with, that she can attach the word lie to. Not having seen the movie, yet, I am not sure if he said that they specifically only protect that embassy, or if he simply left out the fact that they patrol all the embasies (note; I don't know if that's actually true either).

And he said no. I'm planning to see it again, now I'll watch that scene more closely.

Funny thing. I'm seeing it with my mother when she gets here, because she can't find it near her in Mississippi (I'm in Austin, she's visiting in a few days). Back in February, I drove to Connecticut to buy a car, and took my parents with me because they had always wanted to see New York. On the way back, at 2AM, we drove through DC, since they hadn't been to DC before, and I hadn't been there since high school. At one point we got lost, and after a few turns, I stopped driving to get my bearings. Then I recognized Watergate. We were in the exact spot where Moore filmed that scene, though at the time the only building I knew was Watergate. So my parents should get a kick out of that.

is her claim that people in the audience smelled bad. So far, I've seen the FReepers resorting to attacking Moore's weight and asserting that we (the audience) are ugly and dress funny. It just keeps getting better and better.
