Ann Coulter on Larry King
She is trashing Gray Davis. She bitched about his deficit and Larry King said "deficits are the order of the day, the federal government has a huge deficit." Ann looked like she didn't imagine anyone in the world would make that comparison. I'm sure she was thinking King was a traitor. then she said, yeah, but other states don't have deficits so Davis is evil. (?)

King is taking on Ann about her book. She claims Marshall opposed the Marshall plan. King had this great puzzled look on his face.

Why do you praise Joe McCarthy? She says the history of Joe doesn't have many facts. King is not buying it, has this incredulous look on his face. He's taking her on. She says Joe was only unpopular with treasonous liberals, the rest of America loved him.

Liberal are a party that has become a comfortable home for traitors. (her quote). King says hasn't the GOP become a comfortable home for racists or right wing lunitics?

She said we removed Lott but the Democrats won't denounce Hiss. (? she sure had to go deep to get that example, I don't even know if it's true it's so old.)

She has a good deal coming to write a whole bunch of books. gag.

3. I look forward to the day when idiots aren't given air time.
Coulter is a simple-minded hatemonger and nothing else. Dosn't King have better minds he could have on his show?

4. She's so pleased on the sales of her book. "Treason" was bought in bulk
and given out at right wing symposiums and seminars along with the free coffee and punch.

Coulter must be smoking some tainted grass.

Is she insane? She's arguing about McCarthy, a guy who died before she was dropped on her head at birth, to Larry King, who is actually old enough to comprehend the damage McCarthy did to this country.

What she probably knows, and she's too stupid and pig-headed to admit, is that McCarthy knew he was full of shit from the beginning. With his graft-filled first term about to expire, McCarthy needed a hot button issue to sway the voters. He latched on to the fear of communism, and attacked like a voracious pit bull, demolishing everything in his path with outlandish and very vague accusations. It took Congres a few years to finally realize that he had no facts whatsoever to back up his claims. And everyone secretly hated him, Republicans included. Eisenhower loathed him. But he was feared.

When they finally got up the guts to stand up to him, they denounced his charade, and it destroyed him both politically and emotionally (he drank himself to death in 1957, but he was always a drunk). McCarthy was a true crooked, lying bastard.

The fact that Coulter brings him up shows that she is really grasping at straws. Does she even believe any of this shit?

15-minute fame clock at twelve minutes and counting...

8. If you make enough television appearance, you can come offf
like an expert. The appearance is that enough host think you are worthy of air time.

11. Uh "America First" and their activities opposing WWII
Edited on Sun Aug-17-03 10:07 AM by underpants
Big Lies by Joe Conason.

America First was a conservative group (Buchanan later used it as his campaign theme)opposed to WWII US involvement calling for isolationism.

It later turned out that it was just a front for Japanese and German spies. Viereck (I think that was the name) was actually working out of a Repube Congressman's home and office on Capital Hill.

Conason also points out that the founding fathers wer progressives (liberal) and that those opposed to the revolution were..............conservatives (Tories) who support the Crown.

Republicans more patriotic?I don't think so.
