What did Michael Moore say at the end of F9/11? |
|
After Bush says the thing about "fool me once..."? The theater was so loud with laughter and jeers that I couldn't hear!

Moore talks about George Orwell insisting war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. He talks about war being waged by the ruling groups against its own subjects, to keep the very structure of society intact.
He then shows the infamous "Fool me once" comment by Bush. "Can't get fooled again," says Bush.
Moore says "For Once, We Agreed."

http://mensnewsdaily.com/archive/p/purcell/03/purcell011603.htmAnd last September in Nashville, he said, "There's an old saying in Tennessee-I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee-that says, fool me once, shame on... (long pause)--shame on you. Fool me-you can't get fooled again."

Thanks, DenverDem! I guess Moore wanted to send us out of the theaters on a somewhat lighter note.
And yes, I'm doin' something, for cryin' out loud...

9. An Interesting Twist On Bush's Words |
|
Bush muddled the actual saying ("Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.") in his usual style:
"There's an old saying in Tennessee -- I know it's in Texas, it's probably in Tennessee --that says, fool me once, shame on ... shame on you. Fool me ... You can't get fooled again." - G.W. Bush quoted by the Baltimore Sun - Oct 6, 2002
Well Bush has fooled the American people. But now, we are onto him and the word is getting out. So...we won't be fooled again by this asshole!!
And for that Michael Moore says for once he agrees him.

11. I think he knew the quote |
|
Bush is utterly incapable of mouthing the words SHAME ON ME.
