One more rant before bed: why is everyone so afraid? |
|
Jesus, it really shows the character of people that we act all tough when things go our way. Certain chimpy will be impeached one moment and then equally certain he will be annointed Emperor the next when we have a bad week.
Fact number One: Arnold WILL NOT BECOME GOVERNOR OF CA. Fact number Two: BUSH will not carry California in 2004. I don;t care what the Washington Post says. Fact number Three: Bush will lose the 2004 election
GROW SOME BALLS.

bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow - there'll be sun ...
Are you sure you are reading your Nostradamus right. I see here in Century X #82
"Cries, weeping, tears will come with knives, seeming to flee they will deliver a final attack, Parks around to set up high platforms, the living pushed back and murdered instantly."
and what about Century XII #65?
"Through fury he will force the fort to hold, Every heart to tremble. At Langon a terrible arrival: The kick will become a thousand kicks, Gironde, Garonne, never more horrible"
I think Garonne is French for "George". We are all going to die. No one here gets out alive!

3. I don't see how the recall will lead to a Bush 2004 CA victory either |

Seems to me, it solidifies the left against the continual politcal usurping of elections.
Let's face it, the best the Republicans can do is Ahnold -- who thus far has avoided the issues, except to say things to piss off the Right.

Although I would argue that anger trumps fear here, one reason that many people may be afraid is that we have only a tattered frame of a democracy. Between electoral fraud and the damage to the Bill of Rights, there are solid reasons for fear.
Just typing this, for example, could get us on the "no-fly" list or arrested and held indefinitely without charge. Now, that probably won't happen, but the very possibility that it could makes fear one rational response.
There is already plenty of writing and research about post-9/11 dissent. I recommend checking it out.
