Thinking that F-9/11 was rather mild in it's attack on the Bushistas (at least, by my radical standards), I am hoping that either Michael Moore, or perhaps some other producer/director, would consider really letting them (the Bushies), and the media, have it with both barrels. I am grateful to Moore for his work, and felt F-9/11 was fantastic, but I think we really need get a more complete record out about these inept criminals, and how they've harmed our nation.
My idea is this:
Moore made great use of film clips showing Bush making gaffe after gaffe. I propose, that this be taken even further. There are more than enough instances, and film footage, of Bush, Cheney, Ashcroft, Powell, Rice, Ari, Wolfie, and Rumsfeld, et al, making gaffes, and more importantly, telling lies. An entire film could be made showing them telling one lie, after another, after another, after another,.... perhaps inter-spaced with clips of their gaffes. Added to this, should be photos and video/audio clips of the lies and propaganda told by the media (radio, FOX, et al), newspapers, and the right-wing think tanks, over the last four years.
Hell, there would be so much footage, it might take two or three movies to get it all out there, and it would certainly be entertaining. Think about it. Over the last four years (or longer) we've been fed a mountain of lies and propaganda. This needs to be exposed, in a very graphic way, as it has threatened the very heart of our democracy (particularly because of the betrayal of the media). Moore has made a great start at it, but more needs to be done.
So many of the American people, as is evidenced by Bush's still high poll numbers, continue to have no clue as to the sheer level of corruption and guile of Bushco, and those who have supported them. It's WAY past time for this ENTIRE nation to learn how they, and our country, have been harmed. It's WAY past time, to thoroughly expose these fascist criminals, and especially the media who has helped them. Armed with this knowledge and truth, it may well help not only preserve, but perhaps re-invigorate our democracy.
What got me to thinking about this, was Frank Rich's recent article in the N.Y. Times, "The Best Goebbels of All?". If you haven't read it yet, please do. Link:
