I have worked in the democratic booth at the fair, last year, and this year. Last year not much interest in anything democratic. What a difference this year. We had information on our people to hand out. Lots of folks walking up and saying we have got to get Bush out of office, and picking up our handouts. We had trouble keeping enough Dean handouts to give them. This area is strong republican, and this was much different then last year. This experence gives me great hope, and I hope it works for you. :)

1. That's a great story, Upfront, where was this fair held? |

I just love reading threads about how the American people are slowly but surely coming around to the fact that bush* sold this country a phony bill of goods and they do not intend to let him do that to them again.

3. The same thing happened here in my state. |

This is Illinois and the state is a democratic state, but the state fair this year was crazy. We have a democrat day and a republican day. On the democrat day the rally was so crowded, it was hard to move around. A couple dozen people showed up the following day for the republican rally. The previous year, both days were about equally attended. The was so unusual that it even made the news.
Yes, I would say the Dems are getting a fire in their bellies.

I'm in charge of our Dem. booth at our County Fair this year and I've been hearing that, in years past, not many people stop at the booth. Consequently, I wasn't planning on having massive copies of anything (except the recall, Prop. 53 & 54) because I didn't want to be saddled with an overage. I can see now that I better be prepared with lots of extras. I'm hoping we have the same experience. Thanks again for posting this.
