I'm not surprised, but the media sheep's spin on Edwards is nauseating!
On WJR-Detroit this afternoon, Warren Pierce, subbing for Mitch Albom, obviously got his walking papers from Rove & Co. He talked to some Kerry Campaign correspondent from a news media, and one of the first comments to come out of Pierce's mouth was John Edwards' lack of military service and whether it will be a liability to the Kerry campaign.

As opposed to the Bush/Cheney ticket, Mr. Pierce, where one candidate was AWOL and the other was a draft dodger? Why is that not a liability to the Bush/Cheney campaign?

Later, on ABC news, Elizabeth Dole joins the ranks of the brainless, aimless sheep of the far right by saying the selection of Edwards is another example of Kerry flip-flopping, because Kerry attacked Edwards as being inexperienced during the primaries.

Gee, I seem to remember George HW Bush referring to Ronald Reagan's economic ideology as "voodoo" during the 1980 primaries. Yet, he accepted Reagan's request to be his running mate in the 1980 and 84 elections. But we don't dare say anything so blasphemous, that Reagan and Bush flip-flop, do we?

Liberal media, indeed!

1. These people are f*cktards
Mainstream media doesn't even try to be impartial or pay attention to the fairness doctrine anymore. Dime-store hookers is all they are.

2. Well, people are starting to realize
that all these blow dried characters blatting away on their TV screens are completely empty headed and are just repeating what they've been told to say by people that don't have their interests in mind.

In short, people out there are starting to realize that the media are hopelessly corrupted and aren't to be believed. Moore's movie is helping that process along, and that's probably its most important function.

As awful as the Bush gang are, they never would have been able to steal and hold onto power without media complicity. We can't let these guys off the hook for that, not ever.

3. In response
/that all these blow dried characters blatting away on their TV screens

On CNN tonight, some media whore was questioning a black Congressman
saying Isn't it time that a presidential candidate chose a minority representative to fill the ticket? The guy kept defending Kerry's choice, Edwards is a good man, been through a lot, knows how the other half lives, etc. etc. And then the media whore says Yes, but don't you think it's really time for a minority candidate...???

My mother, a 76-year old die-hard Republican said, Cripes, it's like he trying to make the guy say something bad about Kerry! I nearly fell off my chair.

4. Service and DUI's
Edited on Tue Jul-06-04 08:01 PM by higher class
Bush AWOL - possibly because of drug use
Cheney - Excuses provided for not serving - timing more pertinent to nation's need than Edwards.

Bush Two (?) DUI's
Cheney Three (?) DUI's

Looks like Kerry and Edwards aren't going to catch up to Bush and Cheney on those two issues.

Rove - always thinking in brown stuff.
