O'REILLY just presented him as Faux's "newest hire". And Lanny just said (speaking for Dems) that DESPITE his having "a soft spot" for Shrub "as a friend of many years. Lanny was my hero during the FAKE impeachment, when he was beleaguered and stalwart throughout. Then when Shrub took power he was going around all the media whore outlets saying how palsy a classmate he was with him. So Lanny will be speaking for us. On Faux. Letting O'REILLY pound him into the ground. Hum.

The George Bush I Knew

Mr. Bush is certainly smart enough to surround himself with wise advisers and cabinet secretaries. But he can't make wise judgments unless he comes to substantive understanding of policy issues on his own.

Based on my memories, I think President-elect Bush is more than capable of doing this. We will see soon enough whether he has the desire to do it.
