to keep him off of ballots.
In the past, I have pitied him. Now I feel a gut-level scorn for him.

1. Whoa. On Hannity and Muppet? |
|
Man, that's low. That's one step away from being interviewed by Rush. And in some ways, it's worse.

What a fk'in idiot. Love how Hannity is practically drooling all over him "Oh you should run", "of course you should be in the debates", and so on. And Nader thinks it's because Hannity admires him?

Ralph=:puke:
I never really gave Nader much thought in the past. Didn't vote for him. With an open mind I listened to his politics, some very interesting and poignant...............BUT when he came BACK this time and did so right in the middle of the primaries, without even trying to get with the others on the campaign trail etc., I thought something is wrong with this picture.
Then I just watched what he did and said from there. Since we are in a dire straight with Bush, I would have thought Nader might have tried harder to help get the worst scoundrel we've ever seen OUT of DC. Nooooooooooo, his ego was too large for doing the right thing. He had to pump himself up with all his old rhetoric and throw a wrench into the works of all these fine candidates from these last several months.
He opens his mouth and keeps digging a deeper hole with his former friends AND with people like me who may have once respected his ideals. Poor guy is old (senile more like it), egomaniacal, and desparate for recognition...he has to be in a place of power one way or the other. Adulation and kudos is what keeps him going. Poor thing.
If he was really as wise as his followers think/thought he is/was, he would be lavishing his wisdom onto the nominee; he would be stumping for that nominee.......not running against him, not at this late date. Schmuck.

9. Hannity is kissing his ass... |
|
until he is ready to make a point about who put him in power and mistakes made in the past. I am not a violent person by any means, but if I ran into Hannity in the public I think I'd have to be confrontational. He makes me 10 times more sick than Rush.

Or is he siphoning their money and energy only to have a big laugh when he drops out of the race?

This is coming from one who has supported him in the past. These last 3-4 weeks, his actions have been eye opening to say the least. The whole thing is damn depressing :(

Who pays attention to minor party politics. The Republicans and Democrats collude to throw up obstacles to alternative candidates and alternative parties.

All I see is Democrats properly verrifying the signatures on the ballot. The only ones supporting Nader are those supporting and wanting Bush to win.
Nader failed to make the ballot in AZ, because the signatures on the ballot were FRAUDULANT.

14. Is seems to me the only reason to go on FOX and Hannity is for GOP $$ |
|
The only reason Ralph would have to be on FOX news and Hannitys show is to try to get more cash from Bush Supporters. If a FOX watching bush lover saw Ralph on Hannitys show attacking dems the im sure they would be going for the checkbook to write him a check. The only votes he wants are Democratic ones and they know it.

...acted really weird, hawking his new book. Really, what little respect I had for him after 2000 has been destroyed completely these last few weeks. I just wish he would shut up.

17. I saw him on H&C also |
|

At least he didn't play the fool. He gave Sean Hannity such a dressing-down that Sean had to fall back on his standard "Oops! We've got to break for commercial now" escape.
What's interesting is that Alan Colmes seems to be discovering his backbone for once. I swear, he almost acted like a real Liberal tonight: standing up to Hannity, and stating several times that he was proud to be a Liberal. Poor Alan. I saw him on The Wizard of Oz this weekend wishing that he only had a brain.
I will go out on a limb, here, and say that I think Nader realizes that he is being used as a tool of the Right. Whatever else one can say about him, he is not clueless. I think he just doesn't care. His anger at the Democrats for trying to keep him off the ballot in several states now overrides all other considerations. He stated on H&C that in his view, both political parties were rotten to the core, and that the difference between them was negligible.
Well, this just means that we will have to work that much harder to ensure a Kerry/Edwards victory despite the Nader factor. I hope that with Edwards now part of the ticket, the far Left will reconsider supporting Kerry this year.
Cheers, Sagar

19. Democrats are not keeping Nader off the ballot anywhere |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-07-04 05:57 AM by bushwakker
they are merely asking whether the signatures he has collected to gain ballot access are valid ones. Those are the rules. His lack of appeal is keeping him off the ballot.
