any body else worry when writing to senators or calling their offices
or being on DU....that the

cops will show up at their door to arrest them on some trump up charge.

I really feel I am exposing myself by writing to senators...

I mean look at how our government tracked Kerry during his anti vietnam stuff...and they stole all those records from that persons room....and I am sure bushCo will be using stuff from that...

Just torn between speaking up and being watched.

I had kerry signs up inside my apartment....and now wonder if that is why I got a rent increase notice..... the maintenance guy comes and has to do stuff....because there are always things to fix.... and he would have seen it....

just worrying sometimes.. I had a workshop...last week and took the signs out of the car so my fellow workers wouldn't see them.. .because I don't know their political views....and this is hater country....Very RW and 700 club in the same city....

1. I think I've told this story before...
...but what the heck. :)

Right after I had spent a torrid night posting inflammatory things to the internet, I awoke to a knock at the door. No one ever knocks, if they're looking for me they tend to come right in.

Small town.

Anyhow, I look through the curtain and see two white men in their 30's, dark suits, ties, overcoats, name tags of some kind hanging off their pockets, and dark, dark glasses. I was sure it was the feds.

Turns out they were Mormons on mission. :D

Moral: they're probably not out to get you. But a little paranoia can provide good story fodder.

2. Courage!
It does take some courage. If theydo show up tell them your neighbor is a socialist with a "gun"! Then slip out the back door! If it happens were in it deep.

3. Not really
I've ripped Jim Inhoffe a new one several times through letters and emails. I've never had any problems. And as we all know, Inoffe is the most evil man in the Sentate hands down.

4. If you're an 'honest person/doing no harm to anyone'.....
...but, you're 'afraid of your government', something is VERY VERY WRONG....and you better speak up now, cause if you don't there won't be any 'later' time to do so.

5. I truly am afraid of my government and have been for several
years....then I found you guys and found out there were others who felt the way I did....so now I have started writing senators and calling...
to a vacuum it seems....

just when you report people .....or things...you become known...and exposed.....

being afraid of your own government.....yes I have thought I should leave the country if bush is selected or appointed again....

I see so much that reminds me of what I have read and studied about early germany in the early 1930's......

so speaking up.....makes me worried...

8. But they ignore us....
they took clinton to task on nothing....

these guys are like the mafia and the worst gangsters in the world. They are worse than the terrorists....because they steal your jobs, and so many things that so many people are living on the streets....or in jails being tortured in our own country.....people rounded up....

they want to write discrimination into our constitution....this is over the top...

they out a cia agent...
they authorize torture and even define it and ways to do it.
they have concentration camps all over the world with pow's locked up and they have called them a different name and say they are above the law..

they use bully tactics on everyone to get bills pass..even the UN...the countries go along...so that usa doesn't withdraw aid or peace keeping troops....

it just all seems so horrible.....

people who laugh because they make a guy jump in a river and he drowns because he can't swim....

what kind of monsters are we creating on both sides in iraq...

and they get away with it all....not a single thing is being brought to trial.....

9. I have had
FBI surveilance for several days after sending an email to Sen. Warner of VA. bitching about Veterans Admin health care, or lack thereof. The agents were too damn obvious so I assume they knew it to be a bogus assignment. This was about two years ago. Didn't worry me none! Lately have been signing, and sending, petitions to the same senator. Got some responses from him also. He's a Repug by the way.

11. Don't be afraid - that's their tool
If you are not violating the law, you have nothing to be afraid of.

If somebody is threatening you, call the police, or your supervisor, or your attorney.

Note: Now don't be that liberal freak down the haul that blames everything on "them" either. - I hate that guy
