speaking of unity...
I want to see unity of purpose more than unity of party. Unity of party is fine and good where warranted, but I want to see the union members and the environmentalists, the pro-choicers and the liberal and moderate Christians, the GBLT and African-American communities sitting at the same table. I want to see School of the Americas activists filling the cups of NAFTA activists, and vice versa.

Folks, the reality is that until we start showing up for each other, we're pretty much fucked.

1. Nothing to add to that, Uly-
Once again, your point is well made and unimpeachable... and it's always good to see someone distinguish between party and purpose.

3. I can leave now....... you are singing my theme song..... ^_^
Every group for themselves has sucessfully split us.

What does it take to realize we're all in this together?

When gay folks care about poor folks, and unions care about environment, and minorities care about gay folks, and environmentalists care about poor folks (did I mention poor folk yet? ^_^ ), then we'll have some strength.

This seperatism shit has managed to create a divide as large as the Grand Canyon.

Jesse Jackson was right, all those years ago, and it still isn't being heard.

5. I'm here for you. And for everybody. In it for the long haul too.
 to Mr. & Mrs. Uly and their growing family.

What's so funny about peace, love & understanding anyway? ;)
