(of course, you'd have to figure the Free World would break THAT story, kept out of Corporate TV Pravda for "the good of the nation" -- read the good of the Imperial Family--)

Norway, supposedly, will begin proceedings to withdraw their troops from Iraq.

This needs further corroboration before I'll buy it.

You'd think that such a scabdal as Abu Ghrahib Child Abuse couldn't be covered up. But the Washington Post is sitting on 1000+ photos, they say and we have all experienced Orwellianism several orders of magnitude of what we thought could ever happen in this "Free Country".

So I cannot rule it out.

3. Why is this story not bigger?

This story is black and white. There is no gray area here.

If it can be proved that the U.S. in any way condoned abuse of children, this will be the worst disgrace that our country has endured since the end of the Viet-Nam War.

There are no circumstances under which this type of behavior can be ignored. If anyone in authority knew of these abominable acts, if they are true, heads should roll.

5. The Soviet Dilemma: It is not confirmed and yet so very possible

that it happened and wouldn't get out.

That the information was tightly controlled and that any news executive and particularly any corporate executive might easily rationalize that they didn't want to "disrupt a pResidential election" with such disturbing news that "for the good of the Country", it must be sat on.

Too :tinfoilhat: ? maybe. There are numerous holes in such a theory (the idea that someone, somewhere would be outraged enough by this to leak some photos to the Web) but many of the old rules of thought and belief don't apply.

Our nation is much more creepily unreal than it ever was. And Orwellian Lies are easy to spread for the Busheviks and their giant apparatus.

We are almost to the point where people could be successfully disappeared, in small groups, I think. Although, the technology (e-mails, phone, TV) would make that difficult to pull off.

I still actually lean, upon further reflection, towards disbelief.

Things have not (YET) gotten so bad that something like this could be successfully supressed.

So, some of the Old Republic, that aided by the Internet, still survives.
