67% HELPS 27% Hurts
The comment was "people like trial lawyers, who knew?" As though it was a shock. The media are in the same bubble the GOP is in. Americans don't hate trial lawyers, they acted surprised.
Is he qualified to be VP? 57% say yes, SAME percentage as said Cheney was qualified (ha)

Look at the cross-generational popularity of movies and TV shows which romanticize the profession.
Sure, it's love/hate. For every Perry Mason and Matlock, there's the 2-bit shysters with late night TV ads. But we know 'em, we need 'em, and we want 'em.
Many of the best presidents and VP's have been lawyers. Hell, they are legislators, and I want my legislators to KNOW LAW.
