The American star was pretty blatant about some facts. "I belong to a country where we were stymied for eight years by a President who couldn't say the word AIDS in the elected House".

So Mr Gere, why aren't the Hollywood artists doing something about the state of affairs in the United States? "Of course we are. The entire Hollywood wants the ouster of President Bush. He is neither concerned about the people, neither can he connect with them."
