F9/11 is nothing but Lies
every day in reaL Life (as opposed to onLine) i suggest to someone that they go see F9/11; the response i usuaLLy get is, "is it true?" or "isn't it aLL Lies?" or "it's just propaganda"

i say no and that they shouLd see the movie themseLves and decide. i aLso inform them that the movie is mostLy just news footage cut together to teLL the story.*

i assume this is a common interaction amongst most of you, so how do you handLe it? how wouLd you handLe it? i'm usuaLLy an in your face guy when it comes to such topics but i truLy beLieve moore's movie stands on its own Legs and i don't need to give it a boost.

6. Here's my oft repeated tag line on getting people to see it....
"Most of it is just culled news footage that you haven't seen before. I hadn't seen most of it and I'm a news junkie. And the fact is that if the media did their job, Michael Moore wouldn't have a movie because we'd have no reason to waste $8 on something we already SHOULD have seen on the news. As for presenting "the whole picture" as people complain about often when it comes to Moore's work, if he's showing us a 2 minute clip that we only saw 1 minute of on the news, isn't it the MEDIA who is only presenting one side of the story and Moore that is showing the full picture?"

7. Well it's fear
While the movie does have some errors, none of them overshadow the overarching themes of the movie. I mean you can talk about how Mr. Moore might have told the story about the Saudis leaving after 9/11 a little more clearly, but it certainly doesn't disprove the very real truth; the United States in general, and President Bush in particular have an unhealthy relationship with the Saudis.

10. The Saudi post-9/11 flight part is based on WH sworn testimony
before the 9/11 commission.

Now it's not beyond this WH to lie under oath, but if Moore's story is untrue, it's only because it was based on WH sworn testimony.

Christopher Scheer, Robert Scheer, and Lakshmi Chaudhry have documented the depth of deception of all the president's henchmen who misled America into war against Iraq. This book will become the required text for the coming wave of campus teach-ins and mass protests over U.S. policy in Iraq. The authors have written the truth, and the truth sets us free to reclaim our nation.

–U.S. Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich

12. The right will always say that...
about anything that is critical of Bush. It was so irritating hearing Soros smear F911 and Moore on The Diane Rehm Show yesterday. I didn't feel David Corn was very effective in countering Soro's scathing comments and outright lies about the film. I don't understand why some on the left are trying to distance themselves from Moore and this film. I've been keeping up on the news through a variety of sources for years now, and found the film to be very accurate. I suppose people could take issue with Moore's commentary while ignoring the startling news footage that pretty much speaks for itself. How unfortunate.

Rather than pointing out the 'falsehoods' in F911 and countering them with 'the truth', people from the right will throw out strawmen instead, or pick apart some petty detail in the film, like Isikoff did with the timing of the Saudi flights (he was wrong in his accusations) and the Congressmen with children serving in Iraq (Moore said 'In IRAQ', not 'in the military'), completely missing the points Moore is trying to make.

Everyone should see this film, and then research for themselves. The important thing is that F911 has got people questioning the Bush administrations motives for going to war.

who joined franken web is going on and on about the movie (that he didn't see. but his Lefty wife saw it, and is now anti-LiberaL thanks to moore's Lie fest. very beLievabLe) being faLse.. his proof from his wife: the secret service is supposed to guard foreign embassies and moore portrayed it otherwise.

as far as we couLd find in the secret service website, they don't guard foreign embassies unLess specificaLLy asked by the pres to do so.

many peopLe, most prominentLy coLumnists, constantLy dismiss michaeL moore out of hand (and many times when he's not even reLevent to the conversation/coLumn) with comments such as, "everyone knows michaeL moore is a proven Liar".

i understand how the meme works and seeps into the subconscious Like that, but come on, it's just so frustrating.

15. mANY PEOPLE INCLUDING THE MEDIA....
say that it is all propoganda and lies...and then when you ask them...Okay what lies are in the movie? They cannot tell you...last night Media Whore Tweety said that Moore lied in his movie when he said that Bush was involved in terrorism....WTF? Moore's movie never said such a thing...only that Bush and his family have been in business with the House of Saud and the bin Laden family....so you see, the media wants the people to think that the movis is all lies. The problem is that the media has to make shit up about the movie to prove their point. Man, Bush is one lucky guy to have the so-called liberal media on his side...if not he would have been toast a long time ago!
