This is my e-mail to the journalist that wrote the article, and his reply.

Wow! What a disturbing piece of news. Did this really happen??? I'm in
Colorado and found your story on democraticunderground.com this morning.
I
hope the citizens there are speaking up about this poor interpretation
of
the Patriot Act. This is so wrong and needs to be slapped down hard. I
hope
there are some journalist, editors, and a least a judge or two there
that
have the balls to speak-up against this. Where or from whom did the
decision to charge this man under the Patriot act come from, how high
up?
This is one more step toward fascism.

You and those at democraticunderground.com need to slow down because you
are over-reacting to this. This terrorism charge is a state charge that
has been on the books long before the Patriot Act came into being --
just as acts of terror have been around for a lot longer than today's
terrorists.

That he never mentioned he was a member of DU yet the reporter refed us as being up in arms about the patriot act. ie I think we are getting known outside the rarified net community.
