2. GREAT idea...
I've had to take up for this movie already a couple of times with a couple of people from work (who of course haven't seen it). I'd love the rest of the transcript so I can have facts at hand and invite them to present with proof a counter attack.

6. Someone answer this question? Why didn't one senator sign?
NARRATOR: Heh. It turns out none of this was a dream. It's what really happened. On the day the joint-session of both the House of Representatives and the Senate was to certify the election results, Al Gore, in his dual role as outgoing Vice President and President of the Senate, presided over the event that would officially annoint George W. Bush as the new President. If any Congressman wanted to raise an objection, the rules insisted that he or she had to have the signed support of just one Senator.

5. Can someone answer why neither of the Florida senators signed
the objection? I was determined that after seeing FH911 that if Kerry put Graham on his ticket, I would not vote for him. I used to love Graham and Mack, but now, I am so pissed off that not one freakin' senator at least signed the objection to investigate further.
Does anyone remember why? Or what excuse they gave the constituents? Wasn't Edwards a senator at the time? Couldn't he sign the objections either? Wasn't Kerry a senator at the time? Couldn't he sign the objection? How come no one poses this question?

I was wondering the same thing at the time-Grahamn WAS invisible-maybe him being on the intel com and all-maybe he heard or knew something that we are not privy to-like lets say anthrax attacks to the dissenters.Hey Judith Miller went from one opponent of to a loyal supporter of the war after her Little powdered letter

9. You have hit on just another of the profound
disappointments we all share with you in the Democratic party. We all seem to be on the same page now (getting rid of W), but they are a frequently disappointing lot. You'd think this would have been a no-brainer, but they were cowed into going along to get along. Such thinking produced the IWR vote, and other ignominious moments in Shrubya's term.

But, they are better than Republicans, so away we go.

10. It was Al Gore's decision, and he decided not to contest it
and I guess the senate went along with him.

after all, not even Wellstone or Feingold signed on.... you think they wouldn't have unless there was a good reason?
