Countering "Jack Ryan, misunderstood saint" |
|
"Of course, Mr. Ryan, you never broke your marriage vows. We understand that you never committed adultery. And, thanks to the great good sense of your ex-wife, you never even went through with your admittedly bad idea of having sex in public.
"But, in these clubs, there were other people having sex, right? Having sex in public? Did you watch, even just a little bit? Could you explain to our listeners the morality of just watching a live sex show? Is perusing pornography against the Ten Commandments?"
sick of the hypocrisy, sick, sick, sick

1. We didn't hear the whole story. |
|
Remember that;
1. We don't have all of the documents, just what Jack Ryan released.
2. He tried to coerce Jeri Ryan into having public sex with him.
3. Rumors are out there that they both "participated" more than the divorce documents would indicate.

3. I agree with all that; I'm just saying... |

...I'm just trying to provide a counter to all the mad spinning: "What he/they did wasn't so wrong! It wasn't adultery!" And, even accepting his version of events at face value (which I don't), and even granting that they didn't have public sex (which is, as you point out, not necessarily the whole story), he still took his wife to a live sex show, which is like extra-strength super-sized pornography. Even if he was just watching, that's still pretty much irredeemably seamy for the family-values crowd!
