Is today the first time Bush has directly acknowledged the Dem ticket?

This is the first time I recall Bush directly acknowledging the Democratic ticket. I've never heard of him even mentioning Kerry, usually leaving it to his underlings or his website. But never when speaking directly.

He must be getting rattled. This smacks of desperation, since he has not directly attacked the ticket himself. He really hasn't acknowledged the election when speaking to the media.
