Repuke Coworker: "I took your $10 and saw F9/11 - Thank You"
"I am glad I saw it. Here is your $10 back."

Me: "Well?"

Him: "Pretty damning to Bush. I still think it is pure propoganda, albeit MAYBE factual, but propoganda nonetheless."

Me: "Did you learn anything from it?"

Him: "What is my choice? You don't think I am voting for Kerry do you?"

Me: "Well, what are you GOING to do? Anything?"

Him: "I am going to start to read a little more. Maybe I'll work on changing things on a local level. I don't like Bush as much as I did before but I really don't know what to do."

Me: "Anytime you want to talk, let me know."

I don't know what else to do but at least he saw the movie. I took the $10 and bought us each an Iced Coffee. Maybe he will sleep on it.

sorry this couldn't be more uplifting

If it makes Bush fans think, then that *is* uplifting.

6. Actually, you got the guy thinking
and that is a step in teh right direction.

subtle reinforcement with evidence to back up Moore's claims is what you need to do now.

At least he was willing to see it
and repay the $10. I'd say that's honorable.

Sounds like he needs to spend some time working it out on his own. Good for him.

7. tell him to vote for someone else...
...if he can't vote for Kerry. Write in John McCain's name, or something. A protest vote is a vote against Bush.

8. It was uplifting
This is a person who would have voted for Bu$h - now he may not (probably won't?). He didn't come back singing your or Mike's or Kerry's praises, but he's clearly thinking now, and he was obviously grateful. No fireworks, but him paying you back and saying he was glad to see it I think is telling.

Good show, matcom!

That would be a pretty good outcome, given this type of person who never before considered that he has any CHOICE of who would get his votes.

17. Isn't this all we can expect?
We aren't looking for instantaneous converts, we are looking for people to start viewing Bush without the rose colored glasses. That is all Moore is offering, a moment when there isn't a rosey hue placed over Bush's actions.

What people do afterwards is entirely up to them. Some will choose to put those glasses back on, but I believe many others will choose differently, to seek out more information. They shouldn't take Moore's word for it, but hopefully it will bring them to read Palast, look over Kerry's history and platform, and really evaluate the information the media is handing them.

25. It's time to point out to disaffected Republicans
that they DO have a choice. They don't have to not vote, or vote for Kerry, to show their disgust with *. Tell them to vote for the Democrats running for the House and Senate in their state instead of the Republicans. That's a vote of no confidence in the current government's policies, and much more effective than replacing just the President. Or encourage them to write in the name of a Republican they prefer for President - McCain, maybe, or Jack Kemp - you know, an actual Republican, not an Armageddonite.

28. Pure propaganda how?
Was it the mother of the dead soldier going to D.C. and being verbally assaulted by that RW whore (my daughter said out loud in the theater "punch her!")

Or maybe it was the Caryle Group with GH Bush at the helm?

You know Moore left out the Moonies and the Washington Times.

Was it because he had the decency to not show the planes hitting the towers, and stuck to the emotion everyone was feeling. Except Bush. That was the first time I saw his krew standing around. There was nothing normal about that....propaganda.

Matcom sometimes you just can't win.

33. "House of Bush, House of Saud" by Craig Unger.
Good place to start.

http://www.houseofbush.com/

Then there's "American Dynasty" by Kevin R. Phillips, a GOP Strategist of the First Rank.

http://www.americandynasty.net/kp.htm

When he's done, let me know. He won't be able to stop until that Little Turd from Crawford is in Leavenworth.

I think that's the solution for those who don't want to vote for Bush, but can't bring themselves to vote for either a Dem or Kerry (I've met both types).

If you can't help, stay home.

36. Wingnut came to MY office today to argue about F9/11
First thing I asked was "Have you seen it yet?" Answer: "No, I don't like Michael Moore and I'm not giving him any of my money." WTF? So he stays there for 15 minutes to argue about what he had 'heard' and the clips he's seen on TV! And, he tells me my problem is I don't ever want to listen to the other side and maybe I should watch O'Leilly and Fox news once in awhile. What a jerk.

Now that he feels uncomfortable, he can't live in denial. First he'll be angry, then he'll accept it, and then he'll be normal again and might vote for Kerry.

Choose Kerry Lose Bush - FUCK BUSH - Drop Bush Not Bombs!
