Why do freepers claim the world will end if Kerry is elected?
Over on FR the words "If Kerry wins" are always followed by "we're doomed", "we're fucked", or "America is finished". I know they're irrational by nature, but if the world didn't end for freepers under their Antichrist, Clinton, how can they be this worked up over Kerry?

33. Is that question just your tongue-in-cheek?
Do you think they deserve to be analyzed for it?

They are freepers. That says it all.

2. They also don't explain how Islamic Fundamentalists could feasibly
conquer America and the world given that the whole reason that they resort to terrorism in the first place is a complete asymnetry of power.

with the prospect of a Bush victory in November?

17. And they think he was golden in his four years.
I don't see the difference.

I think it's extreme of anyone to say "The country's f*cked with Kerry." I don't think it's extreme to say "The country's f*cked with Bush" -- because we are.

But to a freeper, the names are interchangeable.

19. How is it possible to view his first 4 years as golden though?
Unlike with Clinton, who had peace and prosperity over his presidency, Bush* now has a track record of starting frivolous wars and badly screwing up the economy. I don't buy the idea that truth is relative. Bush* is an awful president and anyone incapable of seeing that is trapped in self delusion, so I think the equation of us to the freepers doesn't work.

21. I agree. Bush is the worst. President. Ever. But my point was that
freepers do not see it this way.

They think he's terrific, and that Kerry will ruin us.

I am saying that we and freepers see this thing the same way, but in mirror images.

34. Exactly.
One thing that I've noticed is that a lot of the seemingly more moderate people that are voting for Bush are doing so based on "not getting blown up". The Republicans have painted Kerry as soft on terrorism (even though he has already said that he wants to destroy Al Quaeda), and the theme is that you better vote for Bush, or you'll get blown up!! Unfortunately, some sheep have brought into it hook, line, and sinker.

Forget about preventing a right-wing Supreme Court.."YOU'LL GET BLOWN UP!!"

Forget about equal rights for gays and lesbians...."YOU'LL GET BLOWN UP!!"

You don't want any more DEA medical marijuana raids..too bad, "BECAUSE YOU'LL GET BLOWN UP!!!"

You want "One America"...well, you can't have one because "YOU'LL GET BLOWN UP!!"

Just forget about all of the issues, because "YOU'LL GET BLOWN UP!!"

I don't even think the far right believes this crap. They just use it to scare the swing voters into ignoring the issues and voting for Bush anyway. If Bush is re-elected in November (NO!!), this will probably be a major factor. It's frustrating.

11. They are doomed and screwed because...
This country will turn on them en masse

They are benefiting from the tax breaks, prison state and gagging of the left wing

There will be more organic food in the stores

Their companies can't dump raw sewage anymore

They can't claim exclusive title to Jesus
- after all, no one achieves power except 'through Him"

Their neighbors might be able to afford new cars so they can't make fun of them anymore.

They might have to start paying their employees a decent wage.

Evil people hate good, positive change because then their evil is harder to implement.

Last but not least: They are afraid they might have to take some of what they've been dishing out for years - the Bully's worst nightmare

12. Fear fear and more fear
Moore nailed that without a doubt in F/911.

I'm ashamed to say I understand it a little. Though nothing would ever get me to vote Republican, and I never have, I did initially support the War. I was duped. I feel like a fool. My fear and grief over 9/11 was used against me. That is the major theme of that movie. I understand that reaction. I just don't understand lying to yourself, denying the reality that is out there. BushCo has not made us safer, they have made us less safe. They have lied. I don't feel those soldiers lives is worth it.

After that movie, and listening to slimepig Frank Lutz last week, I'm now know I would feel much better, more honest fighting the war on terrorism here. But what war? There is no war here. Iraq did nothing to us. Nothing. How can you support those lies? Fear. The would have attacked us soon. Denial. The weapons were there, just moved.

They think the world is going to end because they are afraid of dying. Well, so am I. But I'm not asking someone else to die for a fake war on terror for me.

14. Nazis don't NEED logic or evidence for their claims
Plus, as with most Totalitarians throughout history, they have little originality, probably having to do with the type of person who would unquestioningly obey Fuhrer*.

So they simply take our words and regurgitate them.

Goddammit, I can't keep track! I thought the Armageddonists wanted the world to end in fire and to get Raptured up, or something. Now they're acting like that's a BAD thing. I'm so confused! Are they maybe afraid the Rapture already happened, and both the righteous people were already taken up?

My father-in-law is a republican. He told me that the reason we are fighting in Iraw is to keep Osama from conquering America and making women like me wear a burkah. He also has a screen on all his incoming E-Mail that bounces any message that contains the words democrat (any version of the word), Kerry or Clinton. Like I said, ill-informed idiots.
