"If Kerry is prez we'll have terrorists attacking us all over the US"
Thats what I heard from a guy in the waiting room at the dentists office. I asked him what would Kerry NOT DO to keep us safe.
His response: "He'll ignore the terror problem and focus on gays and feminists. He's soft on terror, his senate votes prove it."
Me: "Which votes were they and when?"
He: "I dont know but there were and he did."

OOOkay!!!

which funding has been ripped away from the states to be sent to Iraq...how is that possible? Our ACTUAL security at home is WEAK right now thanks to state budget cuts in all the states...the national guard is busy with Iraq....can't these stupid fuckers ADD?

He interjected into a conversation I was having with a lady about ...
bu$h and his claims to Christianity. This lady is heavily involved with the Methodist church, and she said "Just because someone claims to be a Christian it doesn't necessarily mean that he is". Then Freeper boy butted in "Oh he's a Christian and a great one. I can tell one when I see one." The lady and I chuckled which prompted his Kerry assault.
What a waste.

He did nothing all summer beforehand, despite being warned repeatedly.

His presence obviously didn't intimidate them very much.

12. that's funny in a sad sort of way. Dem's have to counter this fear-based
Republican agenda. I think this morning's photo op with the Kerry and Edwards families is a good start. You could see a literal future in the grouping of the candidates, their wives and the grown and not so grown kids.....corny?, heck yeah. better than we're all gonna die if Kerry's elected tin foil hat boogey man stump talk...you bet.

We all have some sense of the militancy in the world right now. fear mongering is a poor excuse for rational response and remembering that we have, you know, lives to lead.......

15. Guess he never read Kerry's 1997 book, The New War, that alerted us to
the world of terror and how it operates through criminal enterprise and abetted and used by international governments.

How many Republicans BOTHERED to read Kerry's warnings then?

When Kerry was studying the problem and writing about it as early as 1996, Republicans busied themselves with undermining Clinton's every move and studying every aspect of his life. In 1997 Texas Republicans were trying to make DEALS with the Taliban, not punish them.

Republican neglect in regard to terrorism LED to 9-11. The only Republican who bothered to help was Warren Rudman. The rest should be jailed for criminal negligence.

Considering that the Bush administration CUT funding for anti-terrorism work before 9/11, after they were warned that Al Qaeda was the greatest threat to our safety.

Anyone have a link to that info? It was in Farenheit 9/11 but I didn't take any notes. :)

thingy and terrorizing the general masses ans still now Oxama, and no minimizing of terrorists. In fact, the terrorist numbers seem to have increased under his decisions..

Bush is guilty of upping the threat level while blaming the Democrats.

Sniper in/around MD, VA & DC

9/11 in New York and DC

Anthrax attacks

Oklahoma City

Or did he just mean terror by "Islamics"

Terrorism is nothing new. Dumbass threw rocks at the hornet's nest and Kerry will have to deal with it (not that I expect it to go away under Kerry).

35. Bush is Al Qaeda's dream candidate.
They need a United States that is not united. They need a president of the United States who talks about crusades, wears his Christianity like some medal he won, and is not believed or liked by the people of any other country in the world.

That's Bush. He is Allah's gift to Al Qaeda.

36. This kind of thing is exactly what the Repugs are counting on
They'll keep pushing the fear buttons, chanting the "Kerry's soft on terror" mantra, planting a few choice distortions of his actual record in all these gullible minds, and then counting on them not to check up on it.

I've told people like this that Kerry has voted FOR 16 of the last 19 Pentagon authorization bills, and they STILL swear he's going to dismantle the military once he's elected.

It's brainwashing, plain and simple.

40. I commonly hear this Bullshit as well...
How can a man who knows what it's like to look another man in the eyes he doesn't know and kill him for the good of his men be considered soft on anything? More people need to read his Silver Star story and I think they will have a change of heart about him being soft. I just don't understand this image of Bush being the tough guy. Terrorism is an important issue to many in this election and the more the silver star story is heard the less people will question Kerry's ability to protect them.

41. Ask him who was president when 9/11 happened.
I can't believe these kinds of statements. It's almost as foolish (and dangerous) as the Frank Luntz talking points memo that admonishes GOP lawmakers to repeat again and again that it's better to fight the terrorists in Iraq than in New York and Washington. Well, who in their right mind would view terrorism in Iraq as precluding terrorist attacks elsewhere in the world?

These people make me ill. They also have dangerously illogical minds.
