CNN does story on Edwards using children in campaign

The whole thing made it sound as if the children were pawns and props who were being used for political gain, implying that Kerry chose Edwards just so he could use his kids.

I'm sure if they were kept hidden, they would be doing a story about how they were abandoning their children.

Did anyone else see it? What did you think?

Personally, I think the kids are adorable and a real asset to the campaign, but the interactions have been genuine. You can see the familial love.

Wouldn't you just love to see Bush or Cheney interact with small children? It certainly would reveal the state of their cold, shriveled up hearts.

This is just one of the first salvos. If you read between the lines, the producer is jealous that his candidate has a dysfunctional family and the opposition looks so darn GREAT!

First, they say John Edwards looks young and that works against him because it makes him look inexperienced.

Well, those two kids of his are very young, so anyone not knowing that Edwards and his wife had those children later in life than most people see him with two preschoolers and it reinforces the idea that he is in his 30's.

I strongly doubt Edwards is using his kids for political gain. At worst I think he is just so proud of his family he can't resist showing them off a little. Charming, really.

Would they rather that the kids stayed at home and missed such a monumental occasion? Yes they would.

Sorry folks, but I made the mistake of visiting that cesspool over at FR. The first link is for a Boston Herald story about Edwards' son that was killed in a car accident at 16. The second link is cheneying freepers response to the story.

The sick cheney's are torn between accusing Edwards of having a Whelstone, or Gore moment, or rediculing a family tragedy that is painful beyond most people's comprehension.

There really ought to be a law that says you can kick a freepers ass for stupidity. I know I should not get my blood boiling, but this is beyond the pale. The freeper thread should be sent to every single media outlet to show them the true thought process of the Bushevik "compassionate" conservatives.

I'm going to send CNN an e-mail and ask them why didn't they explore why the Bush Twin Terrors haven't been seen--except for frequent sightings of them in Bars and Bar Brawls across America.
