George W Bush is dragging the Republican Party into anonymous oblivion

Now, I'm not one to give advice to Republicans but they are so blinded by Party they will not realize they have stepped off the cliff until they hit roadrunner's bottom. And as the dust settles around them, they will find they are out of the White House and out of the House and Senate. They will find that that their radical politics has been shot down by members of their own Party and they will be left without a pot to piss in. They will then dust themselves off, get their heads together and begin to rebuild their once-great Party. If they are lucky, it may not take 40 years as it did with their last self-emolation.

4. What he and his ilk have done

Is lie, steal and bully their way into power using the Repub party as an excuse. True conservatives may yet wake up someday and say what the fuck, but for now are continuing to follow blindly. They haven't gotten the point of this administration yet, but eventually, due to some event that will not only push the envelope of suspension of disbelief but blow it out of the water, they will see. And they will then be as pissed as the rest of us, but by then it may not matter.

I wish there were more Michael Moore's out there with the balls to present the truth.

7. There is precedent

Brian Mulroney so badly corrupted the Progressive Conservative Party in Canada that it lost its official party status, then attempted a series of reorganizations (Reform, CRAP, Alliance, New Conservative), none of which has been successful.
