ABC News: "one high-profile slip-up could erase Kerry/Edwards good press"
Any idea to what they were referring, exactly? I just caught the tail-end of it on ABC. Something about a "photo-slip-up."

12. Exactly , just another "advertisement" for Corporate TV Pravda
Anatomy of Orwell's prophesy made flesh:

1) One small slip up will endlessly reverberate on Corproate TV Pravdas, who as always, will be following the Bushevik Party-Loyal Sub-Media in whatever they decide to report. Hell, it won't even have to be true.

2) No matter what lies they tell, no matter what corruption is inidcated or even right out there in the open, NOTHING can make the Imperials have Bad Press from their Toadying lapdogs.

I believe ABC, for a change, is just being "truthful" here, though they would die before explaining why.

Sounds like wishful thinking to me
Or maybe it's codespeak for something in their twisted little world.

5. just more of the double standard from the 'liberal' media
seems repugs can break the law (any law) all they want with impunity, but one slight misspeak from a dem candidate and POOF instant 'unelectability'. :eyes:

6. Yet dozens of "high profile" crimes against America
by Bushcheneyco is just fine and dandy in the opinion of most news outlets.

I'm sure if Edwards is caught on camera frowning it'll be 24/7 news. He's a flip flopper.. Smiling one minute, then frowning the next. That's not very vice-presidential.

8. They're probably referring to either
That video of Edwards punching a nun, or Kerry robbing a girl scout of her cookies.

But those happened back in 1997 or 1998. I don't see how they can be relevant today.

9. Like using profanity in the well of the Senate?
Or like reading a children's book for 7 minutes before reacting to a nat'l catastrophe?

I guess I can see the press using the destruction of repetition on a Dem for something like that.

10. Yeah...
And one different gene could have made me 6'4" tall, well-hung and independently wealthy.

The above makes as much sense as ABC's line.

13. I think the "liberal press" is on to them - BIG TIME
Anything that can be used against them will be used. No question asked.

Of course, they don't apply the same standard to dimson and foul-mouth. Because if they did, the race should have been over years ago...

14. Probably part of this BS story
(you know, because we were supposed to believe that Kerry and Edwards don't get along)

Kerry Appears More Relaxed With Edwards
By LIZ SIDOTI, Associated Press Writer

FOX CHAPEL, Pa. - Aloof, dour and wooden are the oft-repeated adjectives to describe John Kerry (news - web sites). The presence of running mate John Edwards (news - web sites) altered that image Wednesday

From the lawn of his wife's sprawling estate to rallies in Ohio, Kerry's style more closely resembled his younger Senate colleague and chosen vice presidential candidate — energetic, upbeat and relaxed.

As the two strolled across the lawn for the first time as running mates, the one-time rivals grinned, laughed and patted backs, each man holding his wife's hand. Seven of the eight children between the two families followed close behind, holding hands and beaming.

18. Because Right Wingers own all the media. Bu$h steals an election,
allows three thousand Americans to die in a terrorist attack, lies his ass off to Congress and us about Iraq, has a WH staff member out a CIA agent, and has the most corrupt, secretive pResidency this country has ever seen. Yet the press does not pursue these issues.

John Kerry could fart in the Senate Chapel and be branded as an anti-christian communist for it.
