I am going to dump the Democrats after the election if. . .
. . . two bills are not brought to the floor and voted on by the Democratic majority -- ENDA and the Permanent Partners Immigration Act.

I've been loyal long enough, I've held my breath, I am campaigning for Kerry, but it's time for the Democrats to do the right thing when they get in office, rather than blow the momentum the way Clinton did (let alone advance anti-gay stuff like DOMA). The US is falling further and further behind -- even Mexico and Brazil now have national laws that are equivalent, let alone all of Europe and several Asian countries.

This is where the rubber meets the road, two Johns, Tom and Nancy. I hope you're ready to deliver! :)

1. And you will then support. . . ?
That's the problem with the two party system. There are only two parties.

2. ENDA?
Please explain what this is. BTW, I agree with your position on giving people equal rights, no matter what their orientation.

Employment Non Discrimination Act
Basically adds sexual orientation to the civil rights act.

3. Prepare to Dump.
There will be "sponsors" and there will be "talk"....but these will not be brought to the floor in either the Senate or the House.

5. That worked in the Bill Clinton days. . .
. . . not this time.

Nope, if the Democrats dump civil rights after the election, they're going to be in for a heck of a surprise.

6. it's a Democratic minority, in both the House and senate. Do you have
access to a Dem representative? Encourage you to "lobby" Congressmen about both issues....good luck.

7. Yea. I would like to see medicinal marijuana legalized too
Doing so could extend my lifetime by a decade or more if it were legalized. I wish Kerry would push it. But if he doesn't I will still vote for him. For the sake of my children and grandchildren. I would feel like a real asshole to withhold my vote for my own personal reason. You should feel the same way.

8. I already said I'm voting for him this round around
He'd just better deliver when in office and not sit on his ass.
