1. That particular GOP talking point is as old as the hills.
So nice for a "progressive" show to be spreading it around for Uncle Karl.

10. Jeanine and Sam got all upset about this. Rick said that
Hillary has never said anything in favor of Kerry, just trying to get democrats to the senate... etc. etc.
He has his sources inside the campaign and among democrats, he said.

Sen. Clinton Bats for Kerry With Teachers

WASHINGTON - Filling in for John Kerry, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton told teachers from the nation's largest union Tuesday to support the Democratic ticket if they want enough money to make school reforms work.

"There's a reason that the majority of Americans did not vote for George W. Bush the first time around," Clinton said to roughly 9,000 delegates of the National Education Association. "And boy, do we have more evidence about how right we were. If he were one of your students, you'd be sending home notes to his mother: `Dear Mrs. Bush, he never admits when he's wrong. You really have your work cut out for you.'"

Clinton was a last minute stand-in for presidential contender Kerry, who canceled his speech at the NEA annual meeting to join up with his newly announced running mate, Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina. Clinton, senator from New York and former first lady, had the teachers' spirits soaring after a big letdown earlier.

I don't believe for a second either one of them would want that. They
know that our democracy may not survive another 4 years of Bush. That is a story that repugs want to carry out into the main press. If they keep repeating it probably will. I'd kick the guest out.

Kerry either. That Skull and Bones thing and his Iraq war policy worries me. But, the fact that he chose Edwards and has seen combat make me feel better and there's no way I would vote 3rd party this year. too much at stake. So while the Clintons might be mad at Kerry for screwing up Hillary's chances in 08' you can bet they will publicly back him every chance they get, the stakes are too high to play politics on this one.

knifes actual Democrats in the back because they just aren't pure enough. Fuck'm.

19. Isn't Bill speaking on day 1 of the convention?
And McAuliffe came out publically for Edwards and he's a Clinton guy. No doubt that this does hurt Hillary's chances of becoming President so the rumors will fly about who is running things in the party. I don't see how Hillary can run in 2012 so 2008 would be her shot and if Kerry wins I don't see her taking him on in a re-election year.

If Bush wins this year then Edwards would be the frontrunner or at least co-frontrunner I'd think.; I guess Dean could be back and I'm not going to say I have a crystal ball but on a purely logistical basis Hillary needs a loss here IF (and that's an IF) she intends to run.

21. I think both Hillary and Bill are smart enough to know
that if * wins (or successfully steals again) in November, there aren't likely to be any elections in 2012.

If things had gone differently in 2000, Hillary might have had a chance in 2008, but sometimes the wise thing to do is understand that it ain't gonna happen and you gotta make the best with what you've got. She could end up Senate Majority Leader and have a lot more actual power than the president, and for a longer time.

22. That's just Limbaugh and Hannity crap ...
And any other Clinton haters. Don't be shocked that there are Democrats in the Clinton-haters club, e.g., Margaret Carlson. These people are so paranoid about Bill and Hillary that nothing is unthinkable for them.

I have received Kerry fundraising emails from both Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton. This wasn't fundraising for the DNC or the DLC or Congressional candidates. This was direct fundraising appeals for John Kerry for President. I heard Clinton speak at the Unity Dinner several months ago and he was brilliant and effusive in his praise of Kerry and determination that the Democrats must win the White House this year.

All this conspiratorial stuff about the Clintons makes me sick. Especially when there are first class criminal collaborators sitting in the White House now.

23. I've seen no evidence
or good reason to support this.

I heard that that Bill Clinton was also speaking in support of the ticket. Both of them support Kerry and I think they are doing their best to get them elected. I think Clinton may have some differences with Edwards on trade (Edwards' anti NAFTA stance), but it's really no big deal.
