Near-fight at the local Fahrenheit 9-11 show |
|
My father and a close family friend attended the movie in London, Ontario today. They dropped over my place after seeing the movie. Suffice to say, they were both very impressed with it. My father saw similarities between Michael's movie and the CBC investigative report on the Bush-Bin Laden connection from last year, though the movie had much more pizzazz and entertainment value.
I asked my father about the audience reaction. Compared to the American crowd, the London crowd was rather low key (looked as if they were coming out of a regular movie after the show ended). However, there were two teens sitting at the back and they were talking quite loudly throughout the movie (not sure if they were supportive, against the movie, or just yakking about random stuff like insular shitheads). An older man sitting near them stood up and boomed at them, asking them gruffly if they wanted a fight. Anyway, like true Canadians, they quickly cooled off.
