THese are the same people who wrote about how the shrub is losing it - and from what I've seen of the pResident, they were right then.

3. I don't know about that but |

I think there is a large probability that he will be dropped from the ticket for "health" reasons. This criminal ass is a huge liability to the Repugs and they have to know it. The contrast with Sen. Edwards is especially acute. Still, I hope they are stupid enough to keep him.

Cheney Faces Criminal Indictments; Other Illegal Actions Raise Warning Flags at White House By TERESA HAMPTON Editor, Capitol Hill Blue Jul 8, 2004, 04:59
Vice President Dick Cheney faces criminal indictments for illegal activities while CEO of energy giant Halliburton and also illegally intervened to secure a $7 billion no-bid contract for his former employer after his election to office, an analysis by the White House counsel’s office concludes.
The Vice President is currently under investigation by French authorities for bribery, money laundering and misuse of corporate assets while at Halliburton and also faces a U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission probe of a $180 million "slush fund" that may have been used to pay bribes.

About the worst I can imagine is that the special prosecutor will be fired in Nixon fashion. At that point though, the game will be up and Cheney would excuse himself for "health reasons".
Some Republicans are starting to come out and call for dumping Dick Cheney on the ticket. If it doesn't happen BEFORE the Rethuglican convention, it probably won't happen at all.
