Experience??? Now the Pubs are pounding on Edwards Lack of....
Seems to me they miss the point. While Cheney has experience, he also has not been using them very well... has he? He should know better than to utter "GO FUCK YOURSELF" in the Senate Chambers to a fellow Senator who was just asking questions.

Cheney is arrogantly out of touch and he may also be in legal trouble as they look for his involvment in securing Haliburton with 76Billion in nonbid contracts...

Edwards will do well in the VP position. He will be a good back up.

As opposed to someone who can't recognize or admit or even learn from his mistakes.

3. Edwards and Dubya
Didn't Dubya only do one term as Governor before becoming President? Wouldn't that reasoning then mean that Dubya was too inexperienced to be the Presisdent. . . since apparently the same level of experience doesn't even qualify Edwards for the VP slot.

7. It's the hubris.
They can't imagine there's anybody out here in 'flyover territory' or anywhere else, for that matter, who doesn't see what they see, and share their desires. They think they're wonderful -- so of course, everybody in the country agrees! That's what we're being told, after all -- except for those meddling kids over at CBS/Viacom, and the Internet. But that's okay -- they have enough of a vise-grip on their 'base' -- they're so freakin' out of touch, they don't understand that the more people are unemployed, the smaller their base is; for every kid that's killed in Iraq, they lose a few more. Every time one of them says 'fuck' in a public place, a few more not-too-conservative Christians wince and reconsider their votes.

The hubris is killing them by attrition -- too many people are being affected personally by their mistakes and outright blunders, or embarrassed by their attitude. Propaganda won't bring back Lila Lipscomb's kid, or give back jobs to areas that have been hit hard by jobs leaking to Malaysia. No amount of propaganda will convince a Rockefeller Republican Baptist deacon that when the P and the VP are saying 'fuck' in places that make the news, that they're the sterling examples he should be offering his teenagers.

They've heard the old saw, 'when you're in a hole, stop digging!' -- but they haven't stopped digging yet because they can't see the hole. There's too much hubris in the way.

I hope they keep at it. Four months seems like a decade from here, but at this rate, the attrition will work to our advantage, if we can hang in there and offer an appealing enough alternative. I think we have the raw materials -- it's going to get interesting.

8. So we pound back with the resumes of the junta poster boys
Now that some in the media are venturing into the unknown territory of actually telling some truths, now is the time to get out all the sordid details of shrub's failed business ventures and how Poppy's pals and Saudi royals have always propped him up; that he is NOT a successful business man, that he does have a lot of skeletons in his well guarded closet and that he shows no evidence of caring about the average American.

Cheney's resume should be even more fun to expose.

Media, how about doing the job you failed at in 2000 when we were only exposed to the spin and outright myths of bush*/Cheney? Now that enough bloggers, foreign press, independent film makers and patriots who have cared enough to dig for truth has exposed the sham that is the current team of 'grown ups', isn't it time for major media to give up the ruse and do the job they are supposed to? To fail at this point, when so much is exposed already is to render your industry completely irrelevant.

Media in America: do you job and call the lies what they are.

Kerry/Edwards don't have the experience in failure, crooked dealings, thuggery and cronie-ism the bush*/Cheney team has. They have experience of a different sort: Educating themselves on the real issues facing Americans and working to address those issues on behalf of Americans.

It is not that they lack experience, it is that their experience is in a different field altogether than the republican ticket. Kerry/Edwards has actual experience in Public Service

9. Bush had 6 years experience as Governor, which doesn't count
for much.

Edwards has 6 years as Senator and served as a member of the Senate Committee on Intelligence.

So, Edwards will be way more suited for Vice President (or even President) than Bush was ever suited for President.

23. They Got NOTHING------Nothing to Attack on
The "experience" thing? NOTHING. The original post already nailed how CHEENEE's "experience" has taken us down a rabbit hole. And Shrub's only "experience" was with wrecking businesses, before taking the country on this trainwreck.

How 'bout the "trial lawyer" thing. NOTHING. The answer was he helped underdogs against Goliath companies.

What I like about JK is that he doesn't shake, doesn't run. When the so-called "intern" thing came up, he was UNSHAKEABLE.

The Shrubbites are preparing their July/Aug/Sep/Oct surprises, whatever they are, from "terror" alerts or attacks to capturing OBL. JK's got a contingency panel making response plans.

Get used to it, folks, we've got a winning team.

The Pubs got nothing but the Pubs not gonna play like a loser hand, they gonna come at us with a "Winning Hand".... meaning, they got a shitty hand but they gonna raise the stakes until we have to say ALL IN at one stage or another.

We have reached that stage... but the Pub Bluff is not working.. so they raise the stakes.... but Kerry out raises them with an Over the TOP raise himself...Pubs flommoxed/confused/bewildered,

and this is where we at. Pubs stymied for the moment..

39. Let Orrin Hatch Make The Argument For Us
Orrin Hatch put it this way in the 2000 Election's Primary debates:

"My only problem with you, governor, is that you have only had four, going into your fifth year of governorship in a constitutionally weak governorship. And frankly I really believe that you need more experience before you become President of the United States. That's why I'm thinking of you as a vice presidential candidate."

That really oughta settle it.

44. Yes, But Orrin Hatch Said
Two things:

#1: His mere four or five years in a mostly ceremonial government position meant Bush wasn't experienced enough to be President.

#2: That amount of experience is, however, sufficient for the job of vice president.
