Bush insults North Carolinians of all stripes....
by claiming they have Bush "values"! NC is smarter than that, I think? They do not wish to be labeled as having the same values as Bush and Cheney, in my opinion. North Carolinians are not fake, arrogant, stupid, or dishonest. Mr Bush should keep those "values" to himself.

1. Good response!
Bush is always touting "values" without going into any details - well, actually, that's pretty much his modus operandi for everything, but especially so in this case.

What values specifically? The value that says it's OK to spy on people's book lists? The value that says it's OK to play on a nation's fear to further your own self-interests? The value that says it's OK to treat some people as more important than others?

3. they need to get Edwards to respond to this
talk about how he grew up in the south and how bush does not represent the values he grew up with and supports and then mention some of bush policies hurting the state.

4. the best part
was when he mentioned how great the economy is in North Carolina when every day you see a newspaper article about another textile mill closing down or laying people off ... good thing Bush wasn't around when John Edwards was growing up or his father wouldn't have had a job
