The "managed Democracy" of Comrade Putin's Russian and Bushevik Imperial Amerika are nearly identical.

I am not convinced that this won't work exactly as they intended.

The Nazis showed us what a determined third of the nation, without ethics, conscience, or the leats part of scruple, can enslave the other 2/3rds.

It has happened before in nations uncountable, most notably Commie Russia, Nazi Germany, Imperial Rome, etc.

We will see if this "backfires" on the Imperials. But I wouldn't hold my breath.
