I'd been wondering when the new total would be announced.
All we ever get is "total", and "total since the announcement of the end of major combat operations".
It's high time we added that third category, "total since the mission was really accomplished, no shit now, I really really mean it this time!"

It's like the media reports all the news, and then, "Oh yeah, by the way,another four soldiers dead in Iraq today, and another four injured." It's unending.

Maybe it's dumb or I was just not awake before, but it bothers me much more after seeing F9/11, those soldiers faces and especially the injured are staying with me. It's not just numbers, it's real people.
